Crowd level calendar increase

If you listen to todays WDW Today podcast Len mentions that they did this because one of the factors they base crowd level on is Disney park hours. For awhile the park hours were shorter so they said the crowds will be lower. We all know how Disney has been wrong and has been increasing the crowd calender and thats why they increased the levels. Im upset Im going 19th-24th but what can you do. :confused3

Any ideas on the crowds levels for May 30th-June 7th?? I can't access or purchase here at work...

The first week of JUne (we are there the 31st to the 9th) was at 8s and 9s. Then changed to 6s and 7s and is now back to 8s and 9s.

Sillly question... I'm trying to access TP at work and I don't have my book with me, so I can't answer the questions and see the subscriber's info. Would anyone be willing to provide me the words? You can PM me, if you want.

I need the last word printed in the text at the bottom of page 273 and, excluding chapter titles and numbers, the first word printed in the text at the top of page 176?

Thank you so much... I'm not sure why bossman gets irritated when I have my Disney stuff sprawled over my desk...but he does. :p

I do vacation rentals in SWFL and the week of April 11 (Easter) is going to be very slow but the week after that I am slammed with rentals.....rates go down on the properties 50%

or use any travel guides but it's easy to figure out, spring break and the 4/3 deal, Disney's cramming them in. I'd never go during this period and especially with the 4/3 promotion. We always choose value season, room rates at their lowest and never around holidays and such. To me it's alot of money for a trip and I rather enjoy myself in a less crowded atmosphere.

Sorry! Didn't know... just trying to kill some time at work and my heavily flagged and marked Guide is at home.

Thanks for letting me know!

No problem. I didn't know it either until someone told me last year after I posted a similar question.

Does not make sense to me. Just messing around on Disney vacation website this morning and could only find a couple of Disney resort available the week of April 19 and no value resorts. I could find almost all Disney resorts available for the week of May 2nd. I was not using the 4 for 3 deal when I searched. And the UG has higher numbers for April 19 week then May 2nd week.

Maybe the UG is messing around again, I hope. Remember when they posted that '11' or '12' for a couple of days previously then changed it.

Unfortunately, we can not do anything about it now.

UG blog says the change is because the 4/3 is way more successful than Disney expected but I am officially now freaking out :scared: . DH will kill me if we take the kids out of school and still spend 2 hours in line waiting for rides.:scared1: My dates are May 3 - 9 - no spring break - no schools out - what happened! It's all 8s where just a couple of days ago it was 4s . The only good news is my best days haven't changed. We planned these dates for a number of reasons not least of which because it's not supposed to be crowded:sick:

Maybe another reason for crowd increase could be the closing of Space Mountain. They base their numbers on the following:

"The Crowd Level column is based on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being least crowded conditions and 10 being most crowded. The scale measures the peak wait time at the Magic Kingdom's three headliner attractions (Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad). Thus, the Crowd Level is a "worst case" scenario, predicting the longest wait at any of these three attractions on a particular day. Note that predictions for parks other than the Magic Kingdom are an approximation."

Without Space Mountain, you would think Splash and Thunder would increase. Still not sure why April 19th week would be lower then all of May.

Just trying to make myself feel better.

I've made all my plans & dining reservations based on TGM's recommendations & Least Crowded Park advice. Then, he up & changed it this past week!! So, I shuffled a couple of days around. Then I look at the crowd chart on touringplans.... 10 every single day we're there!! sigh...
TGM & TP agreed on Thursday & Friday parks, so I made one last change. now I'm ready to go!! I'll only need to cancel one dining reservation!

WOW - I'm absolutely floored. I checked earlier this week and all was good for my week (May 1-8). I'm STUNNED over every day being an 8 or 9 now. I hope they are wrong -- OR if Disney is really expected huge crowds, they adjust their hours accordingly.

:(

Anyone want to see a picture of a "10"day at Epcot on an UG recommended day?

Oh my , oh my! We are leaving this Tuesday. Originally, our days were 5, 6, 7...and then a couple of 9s the following week. Now they are all 9, and then 10s. Not happy. We were thinking of going in May instead, but didn't want to take the kids out of too much school (as it is, they are missing 2 days). My oldest DD had knee surgery earlier this year and missed A LOT of school. Just couldn't do it again.

Now, I'm really rethinking. Here I am supposed to be so excited about our trip...leaving in 4 days. But now I'm almost dreading it. We are sticking with the recommended park everyday, except for one. DD bday at MK is a park to avoid, but that's where she wants to be. We'll have the bday FP, so hopefully that will help.

Packing the extra patience....
