Crowd level at Universal

I know nothing about Universal but am trying to get info for my sister.

If Star Wars Weekend is at Disney, is there a chance that Universal will be less crowded?

They will only have two days there, maybe more like one and a half. Boys are 11y, 9y, and 6 1/2y. Does it matter what park? Should they do the Park to Park ticket?

June 8th weekend is one of them.

I think what will determine the crowds at that time is whether Transformers opens by Memorial Day or soon after that. That attraction is going to be a major driver in attendance this summer. Orlando Informer has the 7th and 9th as Moderate while the eighth is busy. I would say do the Friday or Sunday and do something like Sea World on the eighth.

June 8th weekend is just the early start of the busy season. Probably be lighter than WDW but still not low.
