My husband and I are planning a long weekend getaway in April. We will arrive late April 11 and fly out early April 15. It is a first time for just the 2 of us. I know that Easter is always very busy, but I was wondering if it would still be carried over into this week. Thanks in advance.

I'm also hoping that those dates aren't too bad as well. It's after Easter and the week before spring break where I live (RI), but I'm sure other parts of the country are still in spring break. We go in April every year and sometimes it's so crowded and sometimes we are shocked at how empty the parks are. Although, no time seems to be slow anymore.

Our break is April 15-22. I think I read somewhere that usually the first three weeks of April there are schools with breaks.

I have no idea but we will be there 11-16. We usually go in the fall so this is our first spring trip. We are in the Midwest and my kids are on spring break the last week of March but my husband is going to a conference in Orlando and my girls and I are tagging along. Hoping it isn't horribly crowded but it is what it is.

A non subscriber can view touringplans.com crowd calendar 30 days later. April 11 and on is shown. They list week days as 4 or 5, and weekend as 7. About normal for Disney World, so busy, but not awful.

Not sure about central Florida but I can tell you that spring break in Northeast Florida (Jacksonville/St. Augustine area) is this week and next week.

Thanks for the info. I can deal with normal crowd level, just don't love the shoulder to shoulder. This will be our first time at Flower and Garden so I am super excited to see that. Also, can't wait to try the food!

Hopefully it will not be horrible. But, if it is I guess we will just go with the flow. I hope you all have a great trip!

I will be going the same time as you! I’ve been during the “low crowd” times (Jan, Sept, etc.) and it’s always been crowded. My new philosophy is to expect it to be very crowded and anything less is a bonus. I just make sure I get fastpasses in advance for rides I HAVE to ride in case I can’t get much else. And yes, go with the flow!

FWIW In my state (TN) and my home state (KY) most schools have a set week for spring break that has NOTHING to do with Easter.

The weather will be beautiful and it will be very crowded. Epcot on Fridays and Saturdays will be very busy due to F&G field trips for middle schools.

Rope drop remains your best friend.

will be there then too. Going to be moderately busy according to TP... have FPs - will use them!

We arrive on 4/8 and leave on 4/15. According to touring plans 4/8-4/10 are a 6, 4/11 is a 4, 4/12 & 4/13 are a 5, and 4/14 is a 7. I'm getting excited about returning in a few weeks! I agree with Redbudlover - Have FP's - will use them:)

April 9-16 here and hoping the same thing about crowds and updated hours. I guess there's not much use worrying about it...I'll just do my best to get up super early, hit the parks, and then break in the middle if things are too nuts!

We are going April 12th-16th. I too am waiting to get updated park hours. Come on Disney! It's less than a month away at this point! Time to update the hours!

Us too! I was actually pleasantly surprised about the estimated crowd levels and will hoping they will prove to be accurate...though recent reports have put that in doubt. Still, even if crowds are at a "10", I'd rather be at WDW than here at home where it's currently 34 degrees!
