Crowd level and upgrading ?'s

We currently have 4-day P2P tix we purchased through Tickets at Work. We had a trip scheduled for the week of 8/23-8/28, staying at the Portofino. Due to an injury, we're moving the trip back a week to 8/30-9/4. My kids didn't want to stay at PB to begin with, and really want to switch to Cabana Bay.

All crowd calendars list the week of 8/30 as mod-low to low. If we move to Cabana Bay, we won't have EP. Do you think we'd be OK without EP that week, or should we look into upgrading our tix to the unlimited EP tix? I'm not talking about buying individual EP tix per day, I'm talking about the tix+EP option that you buy online at UO. Is it even possible to upgrade tix bought from a third party (tix @ work) to that option?

That should be a good week. Lots of people are either back to school or just getting read to go back to school.

I do believe you can upgrade to the unlimited + park ticket but I'm not sure with your discounted tickets. I'd enquire inside the park at one of the places where you can purchase the express passes or email guest services before you go.

We're there sort of the same time as you...bridging between your old and new weeks. 8/27-8/31. I struggled with the decision about EP....but we went for Cabana Bay in the end. My research(and optimism) is telling me we will have lowish crowds and that we can deal. I have no plans to add EP...I think with the early entry and lower crowds we can get what we want done.

I'll be there the same time as well! I would say with 4 days you'd be good without the EP and have plenty of time to see and do everything. Being at Cabana would save some money for more souvenirs/food/extras as well.
