We're thinking of going in early june this year instead of the usual pre- christmas trip - Has anyone been there at both times that can tell me how big of a difference there is in the crowds in june as far as waiting times, resorts, etc.? I Love warm temps but hate being elbowed everywhere you go. THANKS!! :smooth:

I'm pretty sure June is more crowded than December. I think right after Thanksgiving and up until about a week before Christmas is one of the slower times of the year for WDW.

I think early Dec is less crowded, but just how early in June can be a big difference. The first couple weeks of June are very managable when it comes to the crowds. Most kids are just out of school and families haven't started the vacations yet. We've been to WDW probably 5-6 times the first week of June and it's not too crowded at all.

We always are able to ride/see what we want with out too much trouble. Sometimes you have to make smart use of FastPass and PS's, but all in all it's not bad.

I am here to tell you that there is a big difference between early Dec and early June, at least in my experience. In early december it is cooler weather wise and the crowds are much much smaller. We did early June last year, and while not as pleasant, it can be done. You will have to plan on larger crowds and a rest in the afternoon as the heat will get to you, but if you go early, rest and stay late it isn't too bad.

I think it would depend on what kind of, and, how long a vacation you are planning. Also if you are taking kids..the pools are fun.

I usually plan my time around decent weather, when I can enjoy the pool facilities in the afternoon (during my rest time) and also make sure extended hours in the park are available in the evenings.

Being re-generated after cooling off in the pool is just great! :faint: :faint:

I have been there many times in Dec and this last one was 12/10-12/18 and it was just Freezing . This was probably my worst trip!! Im also not a wuss and like the cold...but it was terrible. Also..not knowing what to pack was a hassle. I brought 4 pairs of shorts and short sleeves and didnt use them!

We've done both. Early June is much more crowded then early December. No way around it. Now compared to high season or mid-summer crowds, it is much better. We had always gone in June until or first trip in early December-what a difference. It will be a shock to your system. Walking into MGM at noon and seeing 15 minute waits for ToT and RnR in December. You're looking at 45-90+ minutes plus in June for the same thing. You don't mind the heat, which is a good thing in June. You can have a good time in June, but the crowds will be at a different level altogether compared to December.

thanks for the input- The only reason for the june trip this year is because hubby will not be able to get off work this december (long story) kids are 11 and 3 going on 4. I'm almost thinking of just putting it off until dec 06 . We could do disneyland instead but I don't think it will be any better there crowd wise. I really need adisney fix but I would hate to spend the money only to be disappointed . :guilty:
