Hey all! I didn't realized that touringplans.com changed the free access to the crowd calendar. Or maybe they didn't and I was more organized last year :rotfl: Does anyone have the information for crowds Dec 10-20? :worship: Is it worth it to spend the money to be a subscriber? Thanks!:flower3:

I have always used the Unofficial Guide book (Touringplans in hard cover) and found it very helpful. I subscribed to touringplans for my upcoming trip in December and think it's inexpensive for the info you receive.

I have been checking their projected/estimated wait times against the live reports they receive and, with almost no exceptions in the past few days, the estimates match the live reports. And I think having access while in the parks has to be priceless. For example, someone just posted that Space Mountain is "offline" right now. That would really change your touring plan, I would think.

I'm going Dec 11-17 so I only have those numbers
12/11 - 6 (best park Epcot)
12/12 - 1
12/13 - 3 (best park MK)
12/14 - 1 (best park Studios)
12/15 - 5
12/16 - 1 (best park Epcot)

You are not permitted to post subscriber info on the DIS. TP's info is only free w/o a subscription for 30-60 days out, so around December 21-January 20 as of today.

Oops! Sorry. My son was sick so I completely forgot to check. Other than adrs I am unorganized for the first time ever. Trying to catch up.

touring plans is well worth the few bucks a year to sign up. Go for it.

I don't think this was completely directed at you (OP) NC State looks like they've been around the disboards long enough to know that you're not suppose to post subscriber information.

As for your second question I say YES it is. For such a low price you get so much information to help you plan your trip. You also get the bonus of using it on your phone (if you have a compatable one) I go to DW at least twice a month and use it each and every time.

Happy planning and have a magical trip. :wizard:

Yes - OP - not directed at you but the poster who actually posted the info.

I especially find TP helpful for planning as the trip gets closer.

For example, I created a whole spreadsheet months ago with targeted parks etc... Well, Disney went and added a bunch of parades, changed park hours and EMH schedule, and that changed the crowd levels and best park/worst park recommendations.

If I didn't have a subscription, I wouldn't have been able to see the most recent recommendations, and could have ended up where crowds were the worst (something I try to avoid with 2 little kids). It has been worth the $9.99 or whatever it was many times over.

And I love the iphone App - works great when we are park hopping to know whether it's a good time to change parks or stay where we are.

Thanks everyone. I will get the subscription. I guess it is only on the iPhone, not touch or iPad?

Jenny it will work on any phone with internet access, really...the crowd calendar. Just use your browser. Now, the LINES application that has ride wait times is available for iPhones, droid devices, and works fine on itouch and ipad too.

I think it is an iphone app but it functions fine on my dh's ipad too

If you google you will find a TP 30% discount code -- use it it will cost you $7 and change for a year of access -- peanuts, really.

Also, mind the best/work parks vs the per-park crowd levels and understand how they arrive at each so that you can make sure that their assumptions match the way you tour. For example, if you typically won't stay in a park past dinner time, then days that have MVMCP may be a *great* MK day for you even though TP will by default tell you to avoid MK because it's a special event day.

I think it was only $7-8 because I bought the book. You get a lot more than just the simple crowd calendar they post for free. I would definitely buy it.

I'll be there Dec 13-19. I'm still new at this but if there's a way to send private messages here, I'd love to compare plans as we get a little closer. (After you buy the service yourself of course.)

Another site that has crowd levels and best days for the park is easywdw.com. I found it very helpful.

Why would WED be a 5 when the rest of the weekdays are much lower?

Just curious.

I like the unofficial guide and would be lost without the crowd info and best days...

Very worth it.
