Where does everybody go for this, I don't have a copy of this years unofficial guide so I can't subscibe to that one.
Is october or the first two weeks in December light?

Neither time is that busy, October is the ideal time to go as there is plenty going on at the parks and the weather is often perfect.

December first couple of weeks are usually pretty quiet, then from the middle of the month onwards crowd levels rise.

Of your 2 dates October would probably be the busier.

Thanks Johnny, will we still get the christmas vibe in early december? Is the place decorated?

Thanks
Joanne.

they decorate the parks in november for thanksgiving (the 4th) and it`s then holiday time till aftre xmas

Yes Joanne, as Paul says, early December you don't get the very high crowds but still get the Christmas atmosphere.

it seems wired but they celibrate thanksgiving more than christmas, they call christmastime the hoilidays as more than one religion celibrate at that time of year,i asked if anything speciel for boxing day and girl in our concerage lounge had never heard of it

So PoppyAnna, Do I detect another holiday in the planning???;)

Not sure, there were aspects of our recent WDW trip that we didn't enjoy and like everybody else we want to go back again straight away.
We realised that booking everything through Virgin and with all the spending money cost us sooooo much. We were sooo green, I wished I'd have found you guys before booking (this time last year).
Now we've got some miles the miles + money fares for the first two weeks of December are really good value (1150) for the four of us. We've seen a nice appt on Little Lake Bryan for 400 a week and with our eldest starting school in January, should we push to go again and try to cut back on the spending money and do it cheaper......and have a low key christmas.
It's tempting, isnt it?

Actually, we don't call Christmas time 'the holidays', but we do use that term to refer to the Thanksgiving-to-New Years timeframe in which several holidays are celebrated. And most of us don't celebrate Thanksgiving 'more' than Christmas. It's just one of our main national holidays.

Oh and many of us over here know what Boxing Day is. :)

i found that as they celebrrated over a long time period(hell if we had a six week holiday we would be well drunk by new year)compaired to our 1-2 weeks christmas and new year partying that thanksgiving was more inportant to the yanks just my opinion. But then again we do get more vaction time thougthout a year so a 6 week party period sounds nice.
Girl in concarge dident ralise that boxing day was when the upper class used to give boxes with pressents in to the poor, hence we give pressents at christmas

I know what you mean, the 1st time, we went with Thomsons, then we booked with Travelcity direct for the next 2 holidays who to be honest weren't that expensive, but this year I did it all independently and it worked out great, the cheapest we've ever been to florida and the best!!. We're looking at going back in Feb and that will be our girls xmas pressie!!, they have enough toys they don't need anything else, and it's another excuse to spend some quality time together as my DH work's every weekend

Again, we "Yanks" don't consider Thanksgiving "more important" than Christmas. But it is considered the beginning of the holiday period for us.

:)

I appreciate your opinion though, from what you know of our country.

Americans have fewer vacation days than any other country. We're all pretty much workaholics. I don't know whether we would know what to do with a lot of vacation time. It's just not a part of our national identity.
