Hi-

I am looking at the Touring Plans crowd calendar for September 2nd-6th and it has very low crowd levels for Disneyland (1.1 to 2) and fairly high crowd levels for DCA (5.8 to 7.7). We specially chose this week because it is supposed to be a slow week...any idea why DCA has such high crowd level predictions??

When I look at historical levels for last year the week after Labor Day had 1's for both parks.

Also, if the crowd calendar is correct will there be a noticeable difference in crowds between the two parks?

Thanks!

Just know beforehand, that Crowd Calendars for Disneyland/DCA are quite unreliable.

I wouldn't believe OR expect a predicted "1" in either Park, for anything---that just doesn't happen anymore(unfortunately!:()

The week you've chosen might very well be slow, but don't expect a "1"(or even a 2 or 3;)), or you will most likely be disappointed.:)

Keep in mind, going at that time, there is a chance you will miss out a few rides that will be down for refurb - for sure Haunted Mansion will be unavailable. Because attractions will be closed, it will make the rest of the park feel more crowded. To add to that, the block out restrictions on SoCal Annual passes are lifted a few weeks before this, so locals flood the parks.

Thanks! I was kind of wondering how reliable they were. We used them for a 2 day trip to the world to pick which day we would go to MK and Epcot but I haven't used them enough to determine reliability.

Next question...we have our trip planned for early September to avoid crowds, however my husband just found out he has a conference in Long Beach the week of Columbus Day. We toyed with changing our trip to that week (my husbands airfare and 3 or 4 nights of our hotel in Anaheim would be covered-my son and I would get M though F in the parks, my husband would join us M, T and F), however I quickly nixed the idea because I keep reading how busy that week is at DL. However, is that week really that busy?? Touring plans rates it a busy week, but obviously that might not really be accurate. So can any DL regulars tell me how much busier October will be?? Also, we have a 2 year old so we won't be focused on the big rides with height requirements (we might childswap for one a day).
