We are planning 2 days in the Darkside for the first week in December. We have been fortunate to go at this time of year twice before, and it was a beautiful thing. I am not expecting it to be quite so nice crowd-wise due to the Diagon Alley expansion, but am still hoping it is moderate?

I can choose any two consecutive days that week. In the past we have done Monday and Tuesday as per recommendations here. I was just looking at the Undercover Tourist blog and was surprised to see that IoA is a "red/not recommended" for Tuesday the 2nd of December. Does anyone know what that rating is based on, and should we be planning for other days that week to hit the lowest crowds possible?

Just an estimator of which of the two universal parks will have less crowds even during quiet times. Both parks should be fine. Many sources showing the first two weeks to be slow in general on the weekdays as usual, maybe a bit more crowded, I'll be there then too as usual.

The "which one is red" issue is just relative...one park vs the other. Touring plans has both parks at less than a 2 out of 10 for both days (like 1.7 or something)
