Cross Stitching paintings

While searching for patterns, I stumbled on this site:

He says all patterns contain no more than 58 colors, most contain 40 and there are no backstitching or fractional stitching required.

Have any of you tried any of these?

Haven't tried it, but he does have some interesting ones.
