Hi there

Just a wondering question really.
I was reading the post about Cindy's castle cross stitch kit, and wondered what other cross stitch kits they do? Are they worth the $$'s? where do they sell them? Has anyone bought one?
Can anyone help me? (Just a few question's!!)

Thank you

I believe that you can get them at Disneyana on Main Street USA, or sometimes on the internet. Just do a search. They are about $40 if I remember correctly.

I called the store in downtown Disney about six months ago and asked about it. I gave them my credit card number and they sent the kit. I haven't started to work on it. I know somebody that is doing it though and she says it is a little harder because the background is dark. She puts something white under the material.

I checked the one on ebay and I think I got it cheaper than the latest bid.

I'm working on the castle now. I put a book lite behind while I work and it has made it a lot easier. I was a little worried about the dark fabric because several years ago I did a dragon on black for one of my DS and it was very difficult. When I mentioned this to someone I work with she suggested the lite behind the fabric and it really helps. I'm using a Q-snap frame to hold the fabric so the lite won't clip on the frame but if you use a hoop you could clip the lite to the hoop.

Thanks DVCinderella, I went and looked at the castle kit and it looks amazing! (Will take me forever to stitch!!)

Thanks for the suggestions Pat & Bildmouse, I'm stitching Tigger dressed up as a devil for halloween at the moment, and that's on black cotton, and it can be a right nightmare! I usually put a piece of white paper underneath I find that helps.

Bildmouse - I have no idea what a Q-snap frame is  we don't have them here in England, but I think I know what you mean! :D

Happy stitching!

Other than the castle, there is "Family Dinner", which shows Disney characters enjoying a Thanksgiving Day type dinner, "Self Portrait, with Mickey painting Walt Disney, and "Puppy Love" (I think), with Mickey, Minnie & Pluto in the Norman Rockwell painting of the same name. I believe all are available at any Art of Disney shop in WDW (or WDW mail order), or from ebay. I was thinking of designing my own, but I am sure it will be a very time consuming project!
