The annual "stocking stuffer" sale is 11/28-12/4. Print out the coupon from the website http://www.lighthousescrapbooking.com & bring into the store. They will give you a large shopping bag to fill. You will get 20% off everything in the bag. (their open house is 10-2 on 11/29 with snacks & product demos too.)

12/13 (10am-5pm) is the all day pot luck crop - cost $10 and a dish to share.

Kim,

Which Lighthouse do you go to? I have only been to the one in Nashua and wasn't that impressed. Do you know is the one in Salem bigger. I normally shop at Amandalinz for a LSS which I think is a nice size but I feel they are a bit snooty in there. IMHO

I usually go to the one in Salem - 'cuz it's near my parents' house. I don't know if it is bigger than the Nashua or Statham stores. I do know that they are planning on moving the Salem store at the end of this year (don't know where to though.) I think that Lighthouse can be snooty too - just depends on who working there. I usually go just to shop so it doesn't faze me. I haven't been to Amandalinz yet - someday I'll go on a scrapping road trip...

Nashua is bigger, but I think they have about the same amount of stuff. I've never found Lighthouse to be snooty, but I do think that some of the people who work there are too shy for that kind of job. You have to kind of pull information out of them. THere is one woman, Kim I think, who is an amzing scrapper and is sooo helpful.

I didn't care for Amandalinz; I didn't really love the merchandise she carries. THey were very helpful, but it's another 30 minutes in the car for me to get out there, and it wasn't worth it.

MsNuss you're right - sometimes being too shy feels like snobby to others (just because someone is too shy to talk to you doesn't mean that they wouldn't want to talk to you...)

I have never had any problems with Lighthouse but some salespeople you do need to almost "corner" to get their opinion on supplies (and others offer their opinion before being asked).

But to go to a weekend crop you should feel comfortable with the people.
I hate my LSS - I have caught them lying to me (Laura Ashley paper won't be available until Nov 1st then it will take a while to get it shipped - funny I ordered it online early October!)
They look at me really wierd a lot - they have never heard of walnut ink, UTEE, or a few other things I have asked them about. I have only been to one crop their and I hated it.

My one weekend crop was ok (they only offered the sizzix tag punch and some wire tools - hello I have more at home!)
- but I have decided that I love to crop at home - and when my house is built with mega-scrap room and all I am going to send DH and kids away once in a while and do crops at my house! As well as monthly scrap nights

so when the time comes you are all invited - just bring a dish

PattyT -- fyi, Lighthouse has the Laura Ashley papers in stock, has for a couple of weeks at least. Not my style, but very beautiful.

I don't go to crops; I am not that kind of scrapper. I always feel like the "pros" are looking down on me. I don't do huge books and I only scrap hi-lites of trips. Every time I've gone, I've felt like odd-woman out. Oh well. I like to scrap at home, and I am in the process of converting a little corner in the basement to my own scrapping area. Yippee!! No more dining room table!
