I am going to hostess my very first crop-- a fundraiser for the Middle School PTA. I went to one put on by a local high school and got lots of ideas and tips. I am pretty much prepared except that I want a good theme! I was going to do "Spring Fever" and planned to hold it the end of April. But the only date we could get the space at the school is now near the end of May.

Is this too late to do a "Spring Fever" theme? I was going to make those silk flower pens and put them in a little pot anchored with M&M's as a table favor for each person, and do 2 page kit/demos: "Spring Fever" and "Summer Fun". This will be after our Spring Break and still a few weeks before school is out.

I don't want a cutsey dress up theme like a decade thing, and I think tropical/luau has been done to death (although I still love them!). We have also had a Mardi Gras crop done recently at another school and since our hours are somewhat limited we can't really "Crop till you Drop". The theme will just be reflected in the table decor and a small favor, the paper goods, and probably in the page kit/demo I want to do.

Anyone have a great idea? Do you think I can still do Spring Fever in late May?

I think spring fever is a great theme. After all, it isn't really summer until the 21st of June. And, May day and Mother's day are spring holidays, right?

I agree, I don't think it's too late to do Spring. May is usually when you really start to get consistantly warmer weather and the flowers are still blooming so enjoy. It sounds like fun, have a great time.:flower3:

How about hedging your bets with "Spring into Summer"?

I love that MazdaUK! That way it really ties to my page kits and I can still use all my original ideas. Thank you so much.
