I wear crocs to mow my grass and I find them comfy.
What type of croc should a 215 pound 6 foot tall man get for the Disney parks.I will have other shoes just wondering if it is possible to wear them for many hours at a time.
Thanks for any help

This is a question only your feet can answer. Everybody is different so what works for one may not work for others. The best thing you can do is try spending the entire day standing in those shoes. Then listen to your feet.

I find that my Crocs get slippery when wet, so I don’t wear them in the parks in case it rains. I wear them all the time inside my home (the standard Crocs) and they are very comfortable, but wearing them right after a shower has resulted in a couple close calls between damp feet and damp floors. It’s a shame really, because otherwise I would wear them in the parks.

I cant stand them and will not wear them but my son wears them to the parks and says they are more comfortable then sneakers. One thing I will be on the side of is if it rains your feet will dry fast. Nothing worse then wet sneakers.... Skip a poncho and wear plastic bags in your feet.

Many years ago my DS gave me a pair of Crocs for Christmas, and I took them to WDW the following week. It was chilly, so I wore them with socks, but they were SO comfortable! I didn't have any issues with slipping, but then again, it didn't rain while we were there. My feet swell and get very sweaty due to walking so much at WDW, but I didn't get any blisters at all, which was a major advantage to those Crocs.

For me, I always recommend shoes or sandals that are fasten to your foot tightly. I wear Keen sandals with straps around my ankle and/or tennis shoes that are laced. I find it safer. I have witnessed people slipping and falling on the pavement because the sandal slips off the foot or they simply get it caught on pavement by accident. Big ouch!

That being said, lots of people wear Crocs (including my DW and DD).

I wear Crocs 99% of the time at home from May - October but I cannot wear them at Disney as we travel in August and the daily rain makes them extremely slippery. I take them as a secondary pair of shoes some days but they have to go away the moment my feet get wet.

I purchased sandals with straps a few years ago and replaced my Crocs with those and have had no problems since then. Wish I had learned this trick years ago.

My son's both wear crocs exclusively in Disney parks. Their record in terms of steps has been 28,000 in a day in just crocs. I can't imagine, but they have never complained about foot pain.

A couple things to note:

They have very flat feet. Basically their feet look like duck feet. Wide and flat. Like swim fins.

They aren't really big kids. At 18 and 17, they are 5'7". One weighs 135. The other weighs about 165.

They wear socks with the crocs. Until/unless it's raining or water ride time, and then socks come off. They have never slipped around when the crocs get wet.

Crocs mold to your feet. You need break them in for about a month. Also, new crocs feel hard and slippery. They soften up and become more rubbery over time, with better slip control.

My teens all wear crocs in the parks. Theyre easy on and off and comfy. They’re good for water rides too because they’re water proof and dry easily. They don’t wear socks with them either, and no complaints. One of my daughters decided to wear her nikes one day last trip and got blisters and regretted it, so back to crocs she went. I wear crocs all summer at home and love them, but in the parks I wear sketchers and they are amazing for walking too.

I find that wearing them when I walk a lot makes their tacky rubber rub against my feet. That wouldn’t happen with socks, but I’m not wearing Crocs and socks in public. They’re great for the kitchen at home.

I do like the canvas Crocs, which are extreme comfortable, and can walk miles in them, no problem. Make sure you get a pair that fit properly, i.e., not too loose.

I love my crocs and wear them Every Single Day, even at Disney. However, at Disney i HAVE to wear socks with them; otherwise with sweaty feet rubbing against rubber shoes, I get horrifying blisters. it's OK, I'm at Disney, there is ALWAYS someone who is less of a fashion plate than am I!!

For our summer 2022 trip I packed a pair of silver sparkly Crocs I had worn for about 15 minutes for pool time. I wore my sneakers to the airport leaving home at 4am. Standing in line for coffee I looked down and realized I had worn one walking sneaker on my right foot and one ancient grass stained mow-the-lawn sneaker on my left. No way could I wear that old busted sneaker and survive.

I wore those brand new sparkly Crocs through mind melting heat, mk flooding rains, and everything in between. No blisters, no pain, and zero problems.

Everyone is so different when it comes to this. I'm around your size and I find if I don't wear nicely cushioned running type shoes, my feet are toast after a couple of long days in the parks. But I see people walking around the parks in crocs and what look like dollar store flip flops and it works for them so 🤷‍♂️

I'll say this, what's comfy walking around the yard may not be so comfy 8 hours and 6-7 miles into a theme park day. You won't know if they work for you until you try it. My advice would be have different shoe options with you and try different things.

My kids love their Crocs and claim that they're comfortable in the parks. I stick with my Brooks or Hokas. I only wear Crocs around the house for support on hard tile. Plus as someone earlier mentioned, they can be incredibly slippery in rain.

I wear crocs a lot and wore them when we moved a few months ago and were unloading the truck. Since it was a lot of up and down the ramp, they would up irritating the ends of my big toes. I guess from rubbing. So, if I wore them in the parks, I would definitely wear them with some low cut running socks.
