I will be bringing my LLBean flipflops & my Croc Cleos to the parks. I hate the regular Crocs, those clog thingys. The Cleos look like a sandal & are so comfortable. I don't know if they are slick on wet pavement. I guess that I will try to slide on them to find out if they will be prone to this.

If New Balance are working for you, then there is no reason to switch. Good for you if you feet don't hurt after days of park touring in them. I have tried so many different kinds of expensive athletic shoes, including New Balance. My feet would hurt so badly! And, speaking of blisters, any athletic shoes, etc. tear up the back of my heels with bleeding blisters.

But, since you asked, I love my Crocs. They don't usually rub blisters, but they could if they didn't fit right, and rub on my skin. THey don't make my feet sweat, and I don't slip on wet surfaces, as long as they are not old worn-down crocs.

I have spent (wasted) lots of money on other brands that were supposed to be so good for me. I have Merrills which I can tolerate for a little while, only if I wear my Croc inserts with them. I have tried on Dansko clogs several times, and it feels to me like walking on concrete. Ouch! I have several pairs of Clarks, which I consider my dress shoes. So I can wear them for a little while, but not too long. I just bought some Fitflops on clearance to try out, but I'm not sure they work that well for me all day.

THe point of all this is that I would love to find a shoe that I can wear all day like I can with Crocs. I get so frustrated when people, including doctors, claim Crocs are so bad for your feet. Offer me an alternative that does not cause me unbearable pain after several hours, and I would be willing to switch from crocs. All I know is that for my upcoming trip all I can even imagine wearing every day are my several pairs of Crocs.

Crocs, Inc. is a shoe manufacturer founded by 3 friends - Scott Seamans, Lyndon "Duke" Hanson, and George Boedecker, Jr. - to produce and distribute a foam clog design acquired from a Quebec company called Foam Creations. The shoe had originally been developed as a spa shoe. The first model produced by Crocs, the Beach, was unveiled in 2002 at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show in Florida, and sold out the 200 pairs produced at that time.Crocs purchased Foam Creations and their manufacturing operations to secure exclusive rights to the proprietary foam resin called Croslite.

I absolutely love my crocs. One of the few shoes that don't give me problems with all of the walking that I do at Disney. I have never slipped in them but my crocs have grooves om the bottom and I replace my crocs when they begin to wear on the bottom. I highly recommend them!

I also wear Teva flip flops occasionally in the parks but by the end of the day the Tevas give me a burning feeling on the bottom of my foot.

Crocs are ahead by about a 25% margin. I'm still not sure they will be right for me, though. I am prone to plantar fasciitis, so I have to make sure I have good arch support.

I wonder if I could leave my shoes with the strollers and just ride the water rides barefoot . . . :rolleyes1
