Crocs with socks?

I wear white crocs with white socks all the time and I've never been given a "what in the world" stare. If I don't wear socks, I get really bad blisters on the side of my feet.

Gotta say I'm diggin' the color coordinated look! :cool2:

Want to know what happens when you wear Disney Crocs with no socks? OK, I'll tell you...you get a bunch of Mickey shaped tanned images on the tops of your feet.

I can confirm! ::yes::

Yes, I wear socks with Crocs! Especially at WDW. I also wear good moisture wicking socks to keep from getting blisters. All of the moisture wicking socks I have are white I believe.

I do sometimes go sockless, but usually for short trips to the store.

LOL at this thread! I have to say, I love my crocs, I wear them with socks to work (healthcare). DH made fun of them until we got drenched in a downpour at MK in May. He bought a pair and is now addicted!

The thing about WDW is: no matter WHAT you wear there will always be lots of people there looking dorkier than you. You will be walking around in your comfy crocs giggling behind your hand at that girl in the platform sandals!

I think that if you are going to wear socks with crocs your choice in socks is nice. I think you would look pretty dorky with white longer socks but black ankle socks aren't bad at all. I wouldn't laugh at you LOL. My 3yo can wear any shoes no problem my 6yo gets blisters with almost all shoes. I got her a pair of crocs and they hurt her feet, maybe I'll have to have her try them with socks.

I would do whatever makes you feel comfortable. I am one of the people who feels more comfortable without socks when wearing Crocs in hot weather. However, I wear my Crocs year round whenever I can and in the winter I wear socks with my Crocs. Like you I try to get socks that blend in, but nobody has ever said anything and I could not care less if anybody did.

Do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. At the end of a long successful day in the parks, how fashionable your footwear was is NOT going to be an important memory. I'll never understand the uproar over crocs when WDW is a fashion faux-pas FESTIVAL of tye-dye/fannypack/neon bike short-wearing folks who are happy and comfortable.

I wear crocs with socks every WDW visit and my feet are rarely tired at the end of a long day! That is worth more than any fashionista brownie points. :thumbsup2 But for what it's worth, I do only wear 'no-show' anklet socks with mine, never anything lengthy.

I wore my crocs on our first day in Epcot last year and they rubbed my foot at the top, and it was pretty sore after walking round for 7 hours, so I went to Mouse Gears and bought some socks (similar to the ones you have shown) and wore them for the rest of the day, I felt much more comfortable and honestly I did not care if people thought I looked stupid as I would rather look stupid than damage my feet when I know that I am going to be using them to the max for the next 21 days at Disney! :)

I love my crocs and always wear socks. So far I haven't been stopped by the fashion police and, most important, I don't get blisters.:goodvibes

Go for it...I love the comments about the tourist look...add a nice fanny pack to your ensemble and enjoy your day at WDW! :thumbsup2

Crocs are very comfortable for all of the walking...I have worn mine the past two trips, and with white socks to prevent blisters!

If my feet sweat, my Crocs give me blisters, so... socks it is. Wear what's comfortable, at least to me, it's more important that I'm not limping at the end of the day than if I gave a stranger a reason to chuckle.

well I don't wear socks because I don't like socks
but did you know Crocs makes a socks for crocs??
Yep MIL has socks that have the croc logo and says in big bright letters: CROCS across the heel- back of the socks.

I am of the WDW mindset wear what works for your feet. No one wants to have blisters at WDW.

I have to admit, on my last trip I wore crocs with white socks . . . and a fanny pack! :scared1::scared1: I used the moisture wicking kind of socks and they worked great with the crocs and kept my feet dry and comfortable. I switched between crocs and NB tennis shoes and it worked great! As for the fanny pack . . . I have no excuse. :confused3

I talked my husband into wearing Crocs a couple of years ago, and he has only worn another kind of shoe for a funeral since. We both wear them year round with socks. When we go to Disney we wear crocs and our Tilley hats. I have to say those are the very best hats in the world and when we went last May they worked just as well in the rain as they did for the sun

My hubby still can't get over the fact that they look... well, like Crocs. He'll wear his around the house, loves 'em... and he says he'll wear 'em at the water parks, but he won't wear them otherwise.

I find black, over-the-calf socks most attractive with male sandals or crocs.

Yes they look totally dorky, but who cares? I'm all about comfort in Disney. Besides, everybody else looks dorky too.

Comfort over fashion. When I am in a place like Disney, enjoying my time is far more important than opinions.

Yes you will look like a dork and you will probably have to leave your mancard at the gate, but if you are comfortable go ahead. You don't know these people and you will never see them again. Better the crocs then a bad trip.:goodvibes

Just do not wear them at home around your friends.;)
