After looking throught the Crocs store in MCO I thought it odd that all of the shoes had labels on them marked " MADE IN CANADA"

Your correct! Most people don't know that most Crocs are made in Canada by a company called Foam Creations!

Can you decipher please? I am not quite as savy with all these shortcuts...much appreciated! :scratchin

Since they are made in Canada, is there anywhere in Canada (actual store(s) or on-line Canadian web site) where they can be purchased at a discount?
I am planning on buying 4 pairs ( 3 adults, 1 childs) for upcoming Florida holiday and am wondering if I can save a bit of $.

I am in the Peterborough/Lindsay area and have called a couple of stores in this area and they don't appear to go on sale.

Suzy, there is a store in Hamilton that sells them for $24.99, they are the beach model and only adults, they also have the flip flops, all are $24.99.
If you are coming this way you can grab some pairs or if you want I can pick some up for you if you want to paypal me.

mousy which store in Hamilton has these?

DH and I bought a pair of skutes a couple of weeks ago and today out at Burlington's rib fest I bought a couple of flowery jibbitz to go with them too! :thumbsup2

We plan on trying them next month for walking through the parks!

I haven't seen too many stores selling CRocs (or knock-offs) but if you happen to be in Orlando, they have them all over the place.
My daughter got a pair of knock-offs in Festival Bay (a Hawaiian store) for $9.
They are identical in every way to Crocs.

Thanks mousy! We don't go until December so I think I will keep checking the Peterborough/Lindsay area to see if they ever go on sale. Too bad since they are manufactured in Canada, there is not a Candaian internet store where you could buy them cheap!!!

I got them at Sharples Green Houses on Upper James just south of 20 road.. let me look up their exact address for you. I was in 2 weeks ago and they were still that price so they should still be. it is only a few minutes from my place so if you change your mind Suzy I can get them.

ok here is the info...

Sharples Green Houses
2136 Upper James St. Hwy
Mount Hope, Ontario L0R 1W0

Thanks mousy! We pass there every time we travel back into Hamilton (we live in Simcoe)on #6, so I'll stop by there. :sunny:I love the Skutes style as they're so comfortable and trendy too! :thumbsup2

Last I saw the only had beach and athens.
Not sure if they have more now but they had tons of colors!

They are selling the knock-offs at Walmart for $8.98.

So DH doesn't like the feel of them at all (yeah, that will save me $35!!).

DD9 (kids size 4) tried on the XS 4/5 Beach style and they were TIGHT. She then tried on the S 6/7 and her foot looked like it was floating in the shoes. There was about an inch of room all around. I told her that she has to weight until her foot is a little bigger then I will buy her a size small.
Was I correct in saying this????

There were none available in the right size for DS (kids size 12/13 I assume) so we will have to look elsewhere.

I tried on the BEACH style M 8/9. I usually wear a womans 7 1/2 or 8 and these felt good. But with the strap on my large toe hit the end of the shoe.
Therefore, should I have tried on a L? I saw them there but they looked so HUGE. My foot is very narrow.

Can anyone please let me know what DD and I should do regarding these CROCS. I think the athens style might fit a little better since they are narrower (and DD and I both have very narrow feet) but the sales person said he doubted I would be able to find them anywhere except the CROCS web site. I really don't want to purchase shoes unless I have tried them on first.

Needless to say, nobody got CROCS today.

Any thoughts??

Thanks, I just called our local Wal-mart and they only have tan and black left. They said they don't expect to be getting anymore in anytime soon. I'm not overly picky about colour but and kind of hoping for a brighter colour.

DD has Crocs and we can actually both wear the same size so I wore them a bit. Wasn't too nuts about them. Yesterday I saw Holes which is the Canadian version of Crocs, tried them on and loved them. They are much narrower and I find they feel so much more comfortable on my feet. I don't wear bulky socks ever so I think this will work for me. I bought a pair. At our local store the Crocs are 29 and the Holes 19. Thinking of going back for a second pair of Holes. Interestingly enough though, DD's Crocs say "made in Canada" and my Holes - although it says Canada on the top - say "made in China" Depressing.

My niece got a pair of lime green knock offs at a Walgreens on 192 two weeks ago. They were $10. My sister then found a pair at the Prime Outlet mall (can't remember what store) for $6. Mind you these were fake Crocs but they said they were comfy and they wore them all through the parks. My DD and I had the real things and that is all we wore the entire time. I love them. If you want a good selection of colours and live in SW Ontario, try the little shoe store in Port Stanley, right beside the Ice Cream Parlour in the downtown area. That is where we got ours. I am going back to get some dark colours for the fall. I teach school and these shoes will save me from the tired achy legs I get every September! I even found an apple jibbitz at MCO before we flew home! I'm wearing my turquoise ones to school on Tuesday! My kids will love them.

In terms of fit, they do fit quite loosely.

If they are just a little tight, you can heat up the material with a blow dryer until it softens a bit and then stretch them slightly. (I have not tried this personally, but have heard it recommended by others.)
