Crocs..really comfortable enough to wear in parks all day?

Back in June our entire family wore Crocs for our entire trip. Well all except for the baby!! But my wife, my three oldest sons (8, 6, and 6 years old), and I all wore Crocs.

Absolutely no blisters on any of us at the end of a 8-day trip.

My wife didn't like them before the trip. Now she keep saying she wants to buy more!!!

In what stores could I find Body Glide, and in what area of the store?

I found it in a large sporting goods store (was something else at the time, now it's Dick's) in the runners' accessories area, I think. I think it was hanging on a rack in a plastic package. It's in a container like a stick deodorant, my container is dark gray. We love it for WDW! :cool1:

BTW, thanks for the info about Crocs...I'm seriously considering these for our family. Don't know if I can get DH to wear them, but I would, and I think my kids would too!

If you have problem feet, Footsmart.com sells Crocs Rx. I have a friend w/diabetes and her doctor recommended that she wear them. She loves them. They are a little more expensive (about 40.00) but it's what I plan to buy for our upcoming trip. I have bunions and very wide feet, so I think they will be worth the extra $$.

I not only wore mine to WDW, I wore them walking the Freedom Trail in Boston (cobblestone/ brick + about 2.5 miles or so) and walking around downtown NYC (looked like an idiot but my feet felt great). I wear them with socks in the winter and w/o.

I have the BEACH Crocs in 6 colors and two pairs of the Athens flip-flops. I wear an 8.5 and have trouble fitting in the Caymans -- the 8 is too short and the 9 is too big. The 8/9 Beach are perfect. I wear an 8 in the flip-flops.

I just ordered a pair of the Ithica flip-flops, but Crocs.com shipping is SOOOOO slow.

OK ladies, where is the best place to get them, & what do men & boys wear?:surfweb:
I got most of mine at Dick's Sporting Goods or Von Maur (a department store). The Disney Crocs I ordered online, but I know Von Maur carries them now. Try shoebuy.com for the Caymans and for infant sizes (DD has worn the infant 8-9 for over a year now and she's almost 4).

Do the Disney crocs run larger than the regular ones? I usually wear a 7.5. In the regular small crocs my toes rub but the medium ones seem to big. Just wondering if the smalls in the disney crocs would be a tad bigger and fit perfect. Anyone who has both styles that can comment?

All of the styles seem to fit a little differently. You might want to look on the Croc website www.crocs.com and see if you can find a retailer near you so that you could try some on first hand. Also, I've been to 3 malls lately and all 3 had a kiosk with Crocs, probably because summer is just around the corner.

HTH! :)

ETA - Ooops! I didn't see that you were specifically asking about the Disney crocs - sorry!

Just bought my Crocs - Beach......love them!!!

I thought these were the ugliest things I had ever seen ( I still think they are not so cute) but the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.

Love them!!

I just got a pair of the Cleo's and they are very comfortable and don't fit wide like other Crocs do. I ordered them directly from the Crocs website on a Friday morning and received them on Wen. afternoon. Got FREE shipping too, with the Spring07 code.

I am not sure about wearing them all day in the parks but I have about a month before we go so I am sure by then my feet will know. I did use Body Glide on my little toe since the shoe was rubbing a bit there and I don't want any blisters, worked great.
I will probably bring the Cleos and my Birks and switch back and forth.
Last trip my feet were killing me with my Birks so I wore my sons Crocs and they really saved my feet for the rest of the trip. I am hoping the Cleos do the trick this time too.

What is a Beach, Cleo etc? Are they just different style of croc? Also what about knock off brands - good or bad?

This past week my daughter's 5th grade class went to Washington DC for a field trip. My daughter broke her toe 3 days before we left. She wore her Disney crocs the entire time; the first day we were their we walked over 7 miles! I also wore my brand new Mary Janes with out socks, after two days I had no blisters and my feet did not hurt. I am a Birkenstock girl but I think crocs are best for lots of walking!

If you go to Crocs.com under Products then Footwear, you will find all sorts of different Crocs. They are even offering Disney Pirate Crocs! They do fit differently; Beach is wider than Cayman and some have more cushioning in the sole. Be aware that Crocs are supposed to fit big so that rubbing is minimized.

Surfanddirt sells Crocs as well, and I can tell you from first-hand experience that they are fast.

As for the knock-offs, they can be a little sharper on the bottom of the foot (Crocs have small raised dots in their soles, but they don't feel hard as some others can).

I have the Disney crocs and they fit just like all my other beaches.

I vote for wearing them! Last trip my daughter was the only one who brought hers and me and my other daughter were so envious! :guilty: She actually broke down and let her sister wear them one of the days:flower3:

I have ordered crocs from Zappos.com. Shipping is free (both ways, if you would have to send them back). Sometimes they have free overnight shipping. I placed an order and they were on my porch in under 24 hours!! They are very comfortable and I'll be wearing them around WDW in a couple weeks.

Thank you all again for answering. I just bought my first pair of Beach last night. :yay: I was just wondering, how exactly are they supposed to fit? I wear a 7.5 and the small just fit, but my left toes were rubbing a little. I ended up getting the medium (8-10) but they seem big. I know they should be slightly bigger to avoid rubbing. Any advice?

Thanks,

Cheri

I just bought a knock-off yesterday called Marlins at a local sporting goods store. They were $16 with tax. I have been reading your comments and debating, but I was going to leave it alone.

My dad had the Marlins on last week and told me to try them. They seemed pretty comfortable. Yesterday, I was taking a friend from out of town to Jazzfest in New Orleans. Friday saw torrential rain and flooding. I knew I needed shoes that I could wash. My dad swore they were comfortable. So I grabbed a pair on the way.

He wins. I think I will be grabbing another pair in a different color for our trip so I have 2 pairs. They were so comfortable, and I am usually one to get blisters. Thanks for convincing me to wear them.

Yes, they are absolutely supposed to feel big. They really shouldn't touch your toes or the sides of your feet. But if you really think they're WAY too big, you can stick them in the dryer for a little bit. It shrinks them some, but just don't do it TOO much.

I have awful, terrible, messed up feet. They hurt pretty much if you just look at them wrong. I am an avid fan of the Crocs at Disney. I used to wear my tennis shoes, which I hate wearing b/c they make my feet SO hot and are so heavy. But I knew it was my best bet for cushion. Still, at the end of each day, I always had the "hot" spots on my feet and my hips and feet were in so much pain. I remember trip before last finally having to leave Epcot...well, actually, literally hobbling back to the buses b/c I couldn't take one more step. Last trip was my first trip with Crocs. Did my feet still ache at the end of the day? Sure! But they didn't HURT. Just a little tired. My hips didn't ache like they normally would. I had no blisters and no hot spots. My feet never got sweaty and overall my body stayed cooler b/c the Crocs were way better ventilated than my tennis shoes. We did so much walking in that trip that DH and I both ended up with chafed legs from the seams and cuffs of our pants. But our feet were fine :)

Personally, Crocs are a fashion void. But I still wear them, and I will even wear them with socks if it is cold and I am wearing jeans. However, there is no way on this green earth you could get me to wear socks and crocs with shorts. That's just asking too much of me ;)

About the Mary Janes. I LOVE mine, but I've always said they have half the shopping life of regular Crocs. That means after half a day my feet hurt. I use them for shorter walking trips.

The other good thing about Crocs is that when they are new, they have amazing traction. With any other shoe, I just think about a puddle of water and I can slip. I approach a damp, slight inclines and I start scooting by inches b/c I ALWAYS slide. But these suckers have amazed me time and time again. It's like they stick me to the earth. However, I have heard that as they get older and the tread wears off, they get slipperier. My Crocs are going on 3 years and still no problem. Though don't try to turn without lifting up your feet good and high. The edges of Crocs are a little TOO good with traction, and I've seen alot of people listing over.

My husband bought the medium Disney Crocs for me at the NYC Disney store a couple of weeks ago. They fit perfectly even though they say Women's 8-9, and I typically wear a 7.5. I can't wait to wear them at WDW May 19-23!

I have 3 pr and do disney COMMANDO for ten days in march(just back!) I wore black crocks with sox and jeans on plane and white(greyish really) crocks ALL TEN COMMANDO days, somedays sox some not. I always had a pr of short sox in backpack in case. I had NO trouble all ten days, feet felt great. I brought no other shoes whatsoever!(Im pooh sizedand was super comfy.
My feet do sweat in them but its not a prob.......and...theyre slippery once the bottom treads wear down .(time for a new pair) and yes I do think theyre ugly :rotfl: _) I wont wear anything else!;)
