Crocs Question

Hi,

I thought I posted this but cannot find it, so if this is a repeat I am sorry.

I purchased CROCS last November after reading about them on the DIS boards for my trip to Disney World. They were wonderful, though I had taken other shoes with me my CROCS never left my feet. I continued to wear my CROCS quite often after the trip and over the course of the past year.

We are returning to Disney this November and wonder how to know if my CROCS are worn out. How often do those of you who wear your CROCS rather regularly replace them?

I have not known anyone to have Crocs that have worn out.

Not saying that they don't, though.

I think I heard that once they start getting slippery, that's when you should replace them---when you've worn the soles/tread down. I'd imagine that'd take a couple years with heavy use? I've had mine for a number of months now with decent wear & they're definitely not slippery!

Yes they get slippery. On my recent trip to Disney I brought 2 pairs of crocs...one old and one new. The old pair was about a year old. And the treads got slippery....but I thought I'd be fine...I was wrong. On the ramp at EPCOT when getting off the monorail....It was rainy and I slipped and skidded on my knees...got some nasty cuts. So be smart.

if you look at the soles of the Crocs, when the tread starts to wear out, you need to be careful. They can get really slippery.

Still, I cant bear to get rid of any.. even when worn out!

So, I just buy new ones and keep the old, but just wear them in the house!

Like everyone said.. check the tread on the soles. If they look worn get yourself a new pair. They can be very slippery. I feel in grand cayman last June when we were on a Disney Cruise. It was raining very hard and the cement got very slippery. Well.. I got a nice scrape and bruise out of that.

I will still wear them around the house, but if it is raining or if I am going to be around water.. i wear my new crocs.
