Crocs or Keen sandals?

I know a lot of people swear by Crocs for touring the parks. I really want to wear sandals, because I don't want hot feet, but I also want comfort. Is there such a thing as a comfortable walking sandal for a week at WDW? Although I think they are hideous, I am starting to realize I may have to swallow my pride and buy some Crocs. This serves me right, because I have been very outspoken about my opinion of their appearance, and I know my friends will love to see me wearing them. I have also heard good things about Keen (which I don't think it too much better looking). Any advice? i went to crocs . com and liked the look of the Nile and think the Patra looked like it had potential, but I am worried about no back strap. Advice? Thanks! And I apologize to all those Crocs wearers for thinking mocking thought about their shoes! If I get them, I will wear them with pride :)

Wear Crocs, NOT Keens! I have both and the Keens are too heavy for walking all day in the parks. My legs were exhausted the day I wore my Keens. I can walk in my Crocs from rope drop through the fireworks with no problems. I usually wear Caymans or Scutes. Skip the keens and you can buy two or more pairs of Crocs for the same $$!

Wear Keens and not Crocs. Crocs are too flimsy and just don't hold up well im my opinion. Keens are more like tennis shoes with air conditioning.

I was very outspoken against Crocs, partially because of the way they look and partially because of my natural dislike of what is popular! Then, I swallowed my pride and bought a pair, knowing that they are not the most stylish choice for footwear.

I was a great decision. For one, I literally have been on 3 Disney trips, each one week long, and my feet never felt better. I used to constantly get blisters from sneakers or sweat through my socks, or at the end of a good day of touring my feet would be killing me. After getting my Crocs, I felt like I hadnt been walking at all and my feet did not bother me.

In my opinion, Crocs are a no brainer. And dont worry about how they look.....you'll be in Disney, no one will care what you are wearing.

KEENS. I cannot say it enough times. I got the keen H2, and they were MUCH more comfortable than the crocs. MUCH. My feet started hurting in the crocs pretty quickly, and they weren't as comfortable to walk around in because they aren't as fitted. The keens were comfortable and easy to walk in and just as cool.

I have both, and I prefer the Keens. I do have Keens slides, however. They are no where near as chunky/heavy as the H2's.

I wear Birkenstocks. You have to break your feet into them but after that they are great! I hae worn them many times at the parks for HOURS!

Keen all the way!!!!:thumbsup2 I have both Crocs and Keen also, and I have to say I'm a huge fan of the Keen shoes. If you look online, Keen has a ton of different styles. I have the maryjane keen's and they look great with shorts, jeans, whatever, and are sooooo comfy. I've never been able to wear my crocs all day (and I've tried two different styles). I like my crocs just to throw on and run to the mailbox or around the yard, but I don't find them comfy enough to wear all day. Plus the crocs give me blisters. The Keen shoes give you the support of a tennis shoe, but the feel of a sandal and comfort of a slipper. Hope that helps.
OH, and I also got some Keen sandles for my dd, and she too prefers them over her crocs.

OK I'm going to throw aginst everyone and say both, I actually bring a few pairs of shoes, a well broken in pair of sneakers, crocs and sandals(usually the keens and reefs) and switch them up. I was finding walking in anything fro more than 2 days in a row were hurting my feet.

My favorites are the Reefs BYOB, I dont like toe thongs and they have a bottle opener in the sole. :thumbsup2

Hmmm...the Keen Napali's are looking kind of intriguing to me. I may need to try those, as I have the H2's and those are the one I said were too heavy. The Napali's look lighter and cooler...just what I need, another pair of $90 sandals!! :rotfl2:

Buy Keens! I have both. I know Crocs work well for some people, which is great, but to me, Crocs are cheap plastic shoes. Keens are well made, athletic sandals. I have a pair of Keens that I Just replaced (well, not really, because I still wear them, but I just bought a new pair)...I wore the same pair for almost 5 years. And I wear shoes hard...I wore my old Keens to the parks (we go for 10 days, I wear the same shoes every day and they are fine, and I have arch issues); I also wore them kayaking, in the water, hiking, camping, shopping, you name it. I lived in those shoes, and they wash well (you can put them in the washer). The best $80 I ever spent. I think Newport H2s are the best, personally, and think they look a whole lot better than Crocs. After almost 5 years, the sole on my keens was starting to feel compressed a bit, so I bought a new pair for the parks.

You will pay $90-100 for keens, but if you have to replace Crocs every 6 months or so (at $30 each), it's definitely worth it. I wear my crocs as slippers (I work at home so I wear them a lot), and after a month, they are already feeling pretty worn and uncomfortable.

crocs has quite a few cute sandals out now... check out their website

I am shopping for footwear as well - anyone hve Crocs Cleos???

I do! I just bought a pair over the weekend and haven't taken them off. I have wide feet and was worried the top strap would be too tight, but it just makes them feel more "fitted" than the regular crocs.

I'd love to try Keens - I think they look great. Do they come in wide widths? Are the straps padded?

I have Keens and they do not come in wide. I find I need a wide shoe and these just do not fit my feet they way I would like. Thought they would because they are a little wider and have the adjustment in front but not a good fit for me. A bit expensive to find out they are not right. Will work for around the house but would not do a long Disney walk in them.

My feet are wide and I bought men's Keens. The straps aren't padded and it took a while for my feet to get used to them (read: stop getting blisters). I'm searching for the perfect Disney shoes and it is SO hard. My old Tevas were fantastic, but they are too worn out now and the new ones don't seem the same. Some day I may find the perfect Disney shoe!

I've heard so many great things about Keen's that I wanted to try them. Has anyone tried the Catalina style? I found them at Seirra Trading post for $42.45. If you click on the 20% off banner at the top and then search Keens to find them that way you'll get 20% off of that price. I paid just under $34 for the shoes. With shipping they were $41.75.

Personally, I wear both. I love my Keen Venice sandles and the flip flops. But, I also love my Crocs. I wear both the beach style and the flip flops. I like to alternate the shoes I wear and since I find both of these shoes extra comfortable, I rotate between them and nothing else. The last time I wore tennis shoes was in December and that was only because I knew my feet would get cold without them, but wish I had just worn my Crocs with socks instead. ::yes::
