going in sept and don't want to wear socks and shoes everyday.

can crocs take the brunt of a full day in the park or am I better off we some
keens or teva's

I don't think crocs can take it but my wife thinks they are better cause they are lighter

any opinions or experience with the crocs

Crocs all day and night for me. Even my wife wears hers all day when we hit WDW and that's the only time of the year she'll wear them.

The kids and I wear our crocs the entire time we are there. Hubbie alternates crocs and other shoes. I have noticed the kids walk most of the days without complaining of sore feet/legs in their crocs. We get 3 hours tops with the other shoes before the complaints begin.

I'm the opposite...I could not wear crocs all day. I found an amazing pair of Merrell sandals last year, which were extremely comfortable. I have also worn Chaco sandals and Keens.

I need a little more support than Crocs offer.

I have found my best bet is to alternate shoes/sandals. I've never worn Crocs, but I do make a point of not wearing the same shoes/sandals two days in a row, and it seems to help my feet from getting too tired, blistered, etc. I really think the shoe brand/style is personal preference and it comes down to what best fits your feet.

Last trip I started with tennis shoes and socks but ended up with blisters on several toes. I bought some Mickey croc flip flops at Pop Century and wore these the rest of the trip with no problems and I have knee problems. I plan to alternate between New Balance walking shoes and the Crocs this year. I'm not sure how this will go as I have recently developed Plantar Fasciitis which gets pretty painful and my podiatrist recommended New Balance only.

I have become obsessed with keens.

I would recommend the keen newport h2 sandals. They are great for the parks. Particularly if you know you are going to get wet. I would go on about them, but I know I have become something of a keen fan boy.

Sorry to go off topic a little bit, but DH was disappointed that we couldn't find Disney crocs anywhere; he only wears them on Disney trips, but his are worn out now and he wants new ones. Does the POP always carry them? We will be staying there our first 11 nights, so it would be great if we could just wait and grab them when we get there!

I like Crocs for around the house or errands but trying to wear them all day makes my toes go to sleep! I literally had to go back to my hotel room from the MK one day because my toes were so numb.

I wear Tevas all day no problems - and they are great for getting wet. The Crocs are too soft and don't offer the right kind of support for my foot. The Tevas aren't the lightweight mush sandal type - mine are the "pretty rugged" women's ones.

Whatever you plan to do - bring more than one pair of shoes of different types (maybe Crocs, Tevas & tennis shoes) for the parks and you can always go to another shoe.

Our daughter bought us each a pair for a trip....I do not like them...feet sweat in them....I use them only to go to the resort pool.....as for regular touring WDW, cheap old flip flops works for me, same for cheap old tennis shoes...switching off during the day.....

I have a pair of crocs, a pair of Keen's, and a pair of Teva Mush flip flops and wore all three on our last trip. I have to say the Crocs hurt my feet the most because they offer no support for your arch or cushion for impact. The Keen's were better, but if you ride Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids and get them soaked, the material on the top becomes heavy and rubs the top of my feet the wrong way. The Teva Mush's win out hands down. I can wear them all day and end up with happy tootsies.

I think it depends on your affinity for Crocs in general. I am an all-Crocs, all the time kinda girl, and wouldn't tour the parks in anything else. I have several pairs packed up for my trip this weekend. (It's a little ridiculous honestly, lol!)

I don't like Crocs - like a pp said - they make your feet sweat and mine actually rubbed blisters on the sides of one foot. I like Teva's - I have the mush flip flops and the Teva Ultimate Thong. The Ultimate is great! has great support - bottom is like a tennis shoe and top is like a flip flop. I also switch shoes during the day - this seems to help most regardless of what kind of shoes they are.

No Crocs for me...they make my feet sweat. :upsidedow

I got some Keen Newports, which can be used in or out of the water, and they were the best "park" shoes I've ever used.

LOVE them! :)

I alternate between crocs with socks (I blister very easily) and Teva mush sandals.

The crocks are some of the only shoes that I can tolerate toward the end of a 10 day trip (we go rope drop to close + emh all day every day). That amounts to 13-18 miles a day, PLUS swimming for a couple of hours at the resort.

Crocs also make my feet sweat and although I haven't gotten blisters from them, that material they're made of rubs against my foot and makes sore spots. I can wear them comfortably with socks but then I feel like a big dork. I do have some Crocs flip flops I love though.

My favorite park shoes so far are my Teva Westwater sandals. So comfy and cute too, plus they dry fast. I also have a pair of Teva tennis/hiking/water shoes? I don't really know what they are but they are lightweight and made of a mesh material so they are quick drying. I trade off those two Teva styles with some Speedo Sport flip flops and manage pretty well.

Were yours the Mush or the Mush II? I want to buy a pair to try, but I am having trouble finding the regular Mush in anything but plain black. it seems like everyone is sold out. :confused3

For comfort you cant beat crocs. Now that being said...Crocs has a huge line of different shoes. Everyone thinks of the original croc...but now there is so much more. I wear Crocs everyday, at home at the park at the office. Its great. You can definitely find a crack sandal that will let your toes breathe and be as comfortable as ever.

Can't live without my crocs, at DW or anywhere! (just don't leave a pair in a hot car for a day - they'll melt!! I speak from experience).

Seriously, I wear crocs my every waking minute. Have numerous styles, colors, to match just about every outfit I have.

Wear your crocs and have fun!
