Crocs as badshoes???

We just returned (staring at suitcases) today, and both my husband and I wore our Crocs - AWESOME shoes, especially since it rained several days. While they do look like plastic, they are more foam like - incredibly light.

SEE, and I think people still believe I am crazy here!!! That is Good --Good news. They are very cushy huh?

Heck, I'd strap 2 plucked chickens on my feet if it would keep my feet from feeling like I'm walking on glass...

:flower: I'm with all the comfort people. My problem is trying to decide on a single color.Looks mean nothing to me.do ya'll remember the "70's"?Polyester shirts, platform shoes and earth shoes which the kids call potato shoes today. If I can survive those fashion disasters, croc shoes won't kill me! :flower3:

I refuse to buy Uggs I personally don't want big marshmallow lookin things on my feet...might look at gettin me some crocs...Nile model (as long as they are just as comfy as everyone says the others are)...Then again...Who am i to talk about how ugg-ly uggs are? I wore "moon boots" when they were "In"...everything is all a fad anyway right??? (with the exception of comfort....comfort is never "in" for some reason) :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I can't wait to get mine. Ordered them last week. Couldn't get the Cayman's since they are having trouble getting them made and stocked fast enough to keep up with the demand. So, I got the Beach style in sage. Nice safe color. Now...if I love them as much as I think I'm going to..it will be a nice pastel color Nile for me.

And I'm another person who can't wear sneakers for extended periods of time. I have more trouble getting shoes that I can wear for more than 2 hours at a time. This whole getting old thing is...well, it's getting old!!!!

i almost ordered last week, but decided to sit on it for a while(you know, every penny counts towards the trip). I did finally order a pair of the pink beach model and a pair of the highland in black. This way i am covered for any outfit i will wear.

I cannot wait to get them and try them on...and i could care less if they are considered "bad shoes", i think they look cool!

Thanks again, Dchef, for posting about them.

O.k. I LOVE THESE SHOES!!! We (DD's 9 and 11 and me) got them last weekend. I am not into wearing them with socks so I've only worn mine a few times, but older DD has worn hers all week with funky socks and has been thrilled to be the "first". Everyone AND THEIR MOTHERS wants them now!

I do think they are so ugly they're cute, but I don't really care much about that. They are so comfortable and my feet don't hurt at the end of a day of teaching and then playing taxi for my girls. I would like to add that I got mine on the large side and it's working out for me. I fit exactly into my daughter's, but I didn't like that feeling. In mine, the strap doesn't even touch my foot in the back and I feel like I'm walking in air. AND MY FEET DON"T SWEAT, so no, they're not a flashback to "jellies"!! :teeth:

As DD, 11, says....CROCS ROCK! :jumping1:

This is probably my single biggest concern. I get really sweaty feet going sockless with sandals or tennies in the warmer months. (and the smell=yuck!) My feet got all clammy just looking at these shoes online! :rotfl2: I really need more reassurance on the feet perspiration issue, please!!! I'm thinking pretty hard about the Nile style in black....that seems fairly "tame" to me!

I am really leaning toward the Nile style of the Crocs as well. We are going to be walking for an entire week basically and having Fibromyalgia and terrible back problems, I'm all about the comfort!!
Personally, I can't stand the Teva shoes (ANY of them) but hey, if you're comfy in them, then I say go for it! :cool1:

:confused3 What is the diffrence between the Cayman and beach models? They look just the same.

Sizes, I believe. Cayman come in sizes, whereas Beach come in S,M,L, XL, etc., which cover 2 sizes each. The Caymans are the new, improved version, cut on an Italian last :confused3 . I dunno, is that a good thing?

Well, I'll see if I like them...just ordered 2 pairs...one for Disney, one for work in the cold, cold Northeast. Hope they're all they're cracked up to be. :hyper2:

I just got back yesterday. I had only worn my crocs for about 2 1/2 hours before WDW and they had started to give me a blister on the top of my foot. But then I gave it a try at WDW and I am soooo happy with them. No blisters, no sweaty feet, dried quickly after rain and my feet felt pretty darn good. I ordered twomore pair today. Had the black beach but now I have ordered the navy and for fun... the red. Cant hardly wait to get them in. Unfortunately the university where I teach requires "professional" dress so no crocs at school. :sad2:

Hello,
I am from U.K and will be visiting Florida on 21st April. I am really keen to buy these shoes as I suffer from plantar fasciitis and I am really panicking about how my feet will be at the Parks. Can I buy these shoes at the shops in Orlando? I am not keen to order them in case they do not arrive in time and I am happier to try them on first.
I enjoy reading all your posts :wave2:

I wonder what would happen if you showed up in the bright yellow ones one day.....

ah ha a trouble maker. I like that. :cool1:
Since I am only adjunct right now and want to become full time I dont think I will try the yellow shoes. I will suffer through my classes and them pop the Crocs on in the car.
Marge8 - It is very iffy to find these in the local stores. Apparently they have not quite caught on in Florida yet. On the crocs website there is a list of distributors. I think the closest to WDW was lakeland which is 45 minutes away. Maybe someone who lives in the area could point you in a better direction. The crocs website seems to be backordered but maybe if you do a google search you could find somewhere to order from that shipping could be expedietd? Good luck. I was just diagnosed also and the Crocs were wonderful in the parks. They look like garden clogs and everytime I looked at my feet I was a little startled that I was wearing them but I will be wearing them from now on.

This gives me an idea. When DH, DD and I are all wearing our Crocs in the parks one day, we'll take a pic and send it to Badshoe.com . Wouldn't it be fun if they posted it?

You know that badshoe is emporer zurgs site right? It is a very funny site.

This thread is hilarious :)

"You wanna look good, OR You wanna be comfortable" That's what I always tell my girls when they try on those high heels with skinny toes.

Some of the fashion statements are horribly uncomfortable. I'm thinking of thong underwear here. What are people who wear thongs thinking! I'd rather go without.

Anyway, I got my black, beach Crocs size L a week or so ago and wore them on my 5-day trip to a wedding in Las Vegas. Black, with jeans is pretty unnoticeable, and my feet were very happy. No sweating, no smell and no feeling like I am walking on glass. It got so I started putting them on the minute I got up and not taking them off until bedtime. As I have heel spurs, wearing Crocs is *better* than being barefoot.

We walked miles along the strip, and I was the only one not complaining about my feet.

The security people at the airport were amazed at how light these things are when they xrayed them. They were all questioning where I got them and how they could get a pair.
