Last year I bought a pair of Crocs (made in China) and LOVED them. They conformed to my feet just great and had not one blister the whole time I wore them to WDW.

However, I bought another pair this year (made in a different country) and WOW -- did the blisters ever pop up! My feet looked like they had been in some sort of accident with all the mole skin and tape! To top it off, not once after wearing them well before my trip, did they ever conform to my feet. My feet constantly swam in them.

Yep -- same size, same brand (no knock-offs) and same color!

I met a couple at the bus stop waiting for the MK bus and asked them, "How do you stand the Crocs on your feet? Mine have rubbed so many blisters on mine"!

The lady answered, "I bet yours was made in Mexico". Curious I asked her to continue. She said that her and her hubby bought some that had tags showing they were made in China and those conformed to their feet just great. However, when they bought the same kind made in Mexico, they did the same thing mine did . . . did not conform to the feet and rubbed blisters all over their feet.

I just called the store where I bought my "Mexican Crocs" and the manager called me back. Scratching his head he said, "We found some made in China and will switch them out for you, even since you wore them to WDW"! He had never heard of the difference in where they are made, but I assured him, there is a HUGE difference.

So to those who have smaller feet like myself and have had trouble with their Crocs, make sure the pair you buy are made in China. They do make a difference! ;)

Where on your shoe does it show where it was made? Mine say Boulder, CO? :confused3

The bottom. :)

Boulder is where they originated - we have several from Boulder & never had any problems with them.

I thought the "Crocs" brand were only made in Boulder, right down the street from me. I didn't realize they had them made elsewhere.

I noticed that too. My mom bought each of my kids a pair last year for Christmas. I was going to buy them each a new pair this year because one of my sons broke (the hole ripped where the strap goes-DH used a hole punch and made anew hole). He was devastaed. I could never find them in the color he had though, khaki, and they went with everthing. I did notice however that the plastic they were made from was different on the newer ones. The old ones are more spongier or softer. The new ones seem stiffer and not pliable.

I'll keep a lookout. I was going to buy us all new Crocs for the trip. (DH doesn't have any)

The ones we have say Boulder CO as well.

Besides the places already mentioned, they're also made in Canada.

I have Crocs from Boulder, China, Canada and Italy. I have found my new MaryJanes are bigger than all my other Crocs and my feet get sweatier in them for some reason.

I hadn't seen Italy, and DH's new Cayman's just say USA, so out of curiousity I looked them up - they've also added Romania.

None of our new ones are from Mexico. :)

For those of you whose Crocs aren't conforming to your foot--I heard a great tip from another mom yesterday at dance class (oh, the things you learn..) She stated that chef Mario (Molto Mario on Food Network) was interviewed about his extensive collection of Crocs. He said that he puts his in the dishwasher(!) and as soon as they come out he immediately puts them on his feet so they mold to the shape of his foot while still warm! This cracked me up :rotfl: , but it probably does work pretty well!

I wear my crocs all the time at home and never had a blister. Then I took my crocs to WDW and I had blisters galore. I can't figure out why I got the blisters because crocs have always been great for my feet. By the end of the trip, I was alternating crocs and tevas so my feet would get a break from the hot spots in different locations. By the time we were at MCO for our return trip, I was walking like an old lady.

I found out that the first aid centers will be glad to give you moleskin if you stop by and ask. I didn't bring any because I thought that for sure my crocs would prevent blisters.

BTW, my kids wore their crocs for most of the trip, and they did not get blisters. All of our crocs were made in Colorado.

I just checked my MaryJane crocs and they were made in China. Thanks for the heads up about this...if I ever buy another pair, I'll keep an eye out for it. No blisters here when using them at WDW. And with the exception of pirate boots for my MNSSHP costume, my crocs were all I wore.

They do say Boulder, CO on the bottom, but on the little tag that comes with them, it will say (in VERY tiny print) which country they are made in.

The ones made up here are stamped on teh bottom made in CANADA you can't miss it but none of them are any good anyhow no matter where they are made they are all garbage. Anyone wonder where your recycled garbage bags and plastic containers go yep you are wearing them.

I love my Crocs, but will not buy any without trying them on first. Crocs has a SERIOUS quality control problem. The ones from Mexico are the worst, but even those from Boulder can vary greatly. I go to the Crocs store and try them all on. It is really amazing how the sizes and the "squishy" factor are so different. I have emailed them a couple of times about this, but never received an answer. One store I shop at a lot told me they had received letters from the Crocs company apologizing for the QC problems. So, buyer beware! Always try them on first!!

I was considering ordering off the web site - but now I will be sure to go to a local store to try them on. :cool1:
:sad2:
I have a friend who wore new slipper type crocs on a long plane trip (some stop overs) and her feet were torn up by the shoes. It was a very sad story.

That's interesting! I was wondering, because we went to try a pair of Crocs on & thought they were the most uncomfortable things in the world! I was especially disappointed that they didn't have half sizes. Wonder if the ones we tried were made in Mexico!

Hmm. My pink ones say "Made in USA" on the bottom. My blue ones and DS's blue ones say Boulder and have the web address, but I am pretty sure my blue ones had a tag originally that said some other country.

My biggest concern now is the brand new black ones that are still in the trunk of my car! The sticker says "Made in Mexico". Darn. I wonder if Nordstrom has any made in other places? I wonder how nice they will be if I ask them? :rotfl:

I did get blisters at WDW, but not until the end of the trip. And I was wearing both the blue and the pink so I can't say which pair made the blisters.

I got my China Crocs at Dick's Sporting Goods in Stonebriar Mall in Frisco. :wave2:

Hi, disneyaggie!

I have looked at the Crocs at Dick's before, but it is a bit of a road trip for me to drive to Stonebriar.

I bought all of mine at Nordstrom. The black ones were from NorthPark, but the people who work in their ladies' shoes are not very nice. That is unfortunate, because we live within walking distance of NorthPark and I am in there all the time. I took them back to Galleria today and found some black ones made in China. The lady who exchanged them for me was very nice. :) If I wouldn't have been able to find them I would have considered driving to Dick's.
