We are having a pot luck at work this week at lunch time. I was going to make pulled pork in the crock pot, but am not sure how I should do it. I usually cook for 8-10 hours on low with 1 c of water, then drain, shred, add bbq sauce and put back in until warm. But, I leave for work at 6am, get here at 8 am and lunch is at 12. Should I cook it completely the night before and then heat it up on low with the sauce for a couple of hours? Should I put it in the fridge any time after cooking? I know you aren't supposed to heat things up in the crock, so I am not sure how to do this... don't want to give my co-workers food poisoning or anything!!! LOL!!

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!:goodvibes

Hope it's not too late but what I do is cook it the day before while I'm at work. That night I shred it mix it with the sauce and throw it in the fridge over night . When I get up I put it back on at low and let it cook for like 4-5 hours and check it regularly to make sure it doesn't get to over cooked. It should be fine.
