Crockpot BBQ Pit?!?!?

For Christmas, "Santa" brought the family a Crockpot BBQ Pit. I admit it looks intriguing, but has anyone used one before and if so, how would you rate it?

I do not need another small appliance just sitting on a shelf!!!!

I have one and I love it! I haven't had it long enough to really use it a bunch of times, but the flavor cooks all the way through a beef brisket.

I've never even heard of a Crock Pot BBQ Pit, however I use my large crockpot to prepare BBQ ribs and BBQ pulled pork all the time.

I cut up the ribs into small slabs, coat the surface with a dry rub of BBQ spices, pour a can of Coke into the crockpot and forget about it for 8 hours. Perfectly prepared BBQ ribs falling off the bone everytime! I like to cook the ribs the night before and take them to the lake for an easy picnic meal. Cover the (cooked) ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce. Wrap in foil and place on the grill until heated. Same method works well with pork shoulder to make a large serving of pulled pork for sandwiches. Last time I made these for a party my friends thought I had the BBQ catered-in from our local BBQ restaurant.

Never tried it with beef--I'm a southern gal and we have a saying, "If it ain't pork, it ain't BBQ!"

I haven't heard of the BBQ Crockpot pit - I also make BBQ (chicken, ribs, beef) in the crockpot!

I got one of these for Christmas too! BBQ is my favorite food and I am looking forward to trying it out!
