Could I make rice and then put it in the crock pot on warm for 1 1/2 hrs? Will it burn or get yucky?

Does your crock pot actually have a *warm* setting? Or is it just the low setting? Low is still cooking temperature, and would most likely burn your rice. Can you cook the rice ahead of time, let it cool, refrigerate it, and then heat it up when you need it?

yes it is a warm setting. (3 settings hi, low, warm)
Doesnt warmed up rice get hard?
DD has practice which I need to stay at and I didnt want to have to cook the rice when we got home.

I heat up rice all the time and it comes out perfect (converted rice, not instant rice). In fact, I generally cook a double batch and put half in the freezer for later.

I'd probably not make my rice that way if I wasn't going to use it for another 1 1/2 hours. It only takes 20 minutes on the stovetop, so I'd just make it when I got home and eat 20 minutes later.
