Any one doing the crochet dish cloths with the sugar'n cream? My friend got me started. They are so easy to carry with you and make up so quick. I am just using a pattern of double crochet one row and single crochet the next 2 rows. I think I will do the granny square pattern for the next one. Anyone have any easy and interesting patterns to share?

Funny you should bring up this type of wash cloths, I had never seen one before and went over to see my step mom and she had this crochet dish cloth in the sink and I thought to myself (sheesh gotta get this girl some dish cloths-she is using her doilies to do dishes!!) so i asked her what is up with that! Well we had a good laugh and she explained that it really is a dish cloth and they work so well! And here I thought it was a doily!
Any hooooo, I don't crochet so no help with patterns!

What type of yarn do you use?

The yarn is 100% cotton and is called Sugar N Cream. I get it at the craft stores such as AC Moore. It comes in tons of colors. The variegated ones are the colors I have been using. They make up pretty with just the simplest patterns. I don't crochet well so these dish cloths give me a chance to try out a few afghan patterns and not commit myself. I just found this neatest site that has about a dozen dish cloth patterns. Take a look.

These a great patterns. I just might have to attempt a couple of these. Thanks for info, Chessie!

My Mom knits these...not sure of the pattern as I am not a knitter. I just picked her up a bunch of those skeins of yarn at Michael's - our local one had more colors than A.C. Moore.

I bought one of these in the Amana Colonies. I love it. I may have to take up knitting or crocheting so I can have more.

My grandma (in-law) just gave us a couple of these and I must say I could never use them as a dishcloth...they feel kinda funny and it would take a lot to get used to them instead of a regular dish cloth :p

But I do use them almost everyday! I use them for taking hot items out of the microwave and they work great!
