I so want to wear Crocs on our trip. However, am I the only person that can't get Crocs to fit me correclty?

I bought a pair of the Beach ones when they first came out. They are so comfortable, but my toe rubs the hole in the top of the shoe. So, I decide to try on the Mary Janes, the 8 is too little and the 9 is way too big.

I'm beginning to think that Crocs are discriminating against people with long toes like me. LOL! :rotfl2:

Do any of you know a Croc style that might fit me better that's not a flip flop? Or do any come in half sizes? If Crocs wont' work for me, what's another comfy, lightweight shoe I can consider that would be great for all the walking I'll be doing besides my sneakers?

Thanks!

Now don't get me wrong, they were comfortable, BUT they were not the be-all end-all best pair of heaven-on-my-feet shoes that people make them out to be. I'm a size 8.5 and did not think they fit well either. Afterwords I noticed that a lot of people seem to buy them very big with lots of room in the back - like a whole size + bigger than their actual feet.

The only reason I even got them is because I stupidly wore a new pair of sandals and was getting a painful blister and the flip-flop stand was across the park.
Maybe I'll wear them to the pool this summer, but more than likely I will never wear them again. I'm a flip flop kinda girl.

I haven't seen any of the Crocs come in half sizes yet. Personally, I found the clog style way too wide in the toe area for myself. The only crocs I can wear are the capri and sassari styles, but I know that is not what you are looking for.

Not sure what I could recommend, because to be honest I do not wear my crocs for park touring, I wear my comfy old sneakers for that. The crocs come to the water park with me, otherwise I just wear them around town here at home.

I just bought some with open toes on extremefootwear.com. Called Nile. They're similar to the usual type but the toe is open and the back strap can only be back, not on top. I'm an 8.5 too and I got the 9 and they're good. Loose but good. I plan to wear them to WDW and pack my sneakers too just in case.

I have also noticed most adults and kids have them too large. I just bought my son a pair because he doesn't like flip flops, teva sandals, etc. he had to get ones that JUST fit. No extra room, either that or too big. You would think they would make half sizes!

Crocs...

Well I never liked the way the look...hid-E-us!

But this Weekend I slipped on a pair of my wife's just (a little small) to walk out to the mail box.

WOW what can say...these things totally suck!!! I'd rather go bare foot on razor sharp rock. :thumbsup2

In othe words...you'd be totally better off with something else.

I'm glad to read a diversity of opinions here about the Crocs and not just the good reviews. I have normal feet (no medical issues) and I guess I was waiting for this heavenly shoe to come and sweep me away-didn't happen. I admit that I bought crocs because of the hype. They are okay, but no better than anything else I own for shoes. I don't get any foot pain from extensive walking in Disney (or elsewhere). Possibly because I run 5 miles each morning I am used to it? I don't know. But anyhoo, they were not any miracle for me. I agree that they are hideous looking, but if they gave me that bedroom slipper feel, I'd wear them!

Just because you tried one and it was to small or to big doesn't mean if you tried it at another store that would be the case. Now if you order Crocs they come with a statement attached that says because they are now made in several different countries what fit you before may not fit again depending on the country it was made in.

Well, I haven't joined the Croc bandwagon yet.....I say yet cause I may buy a pair of Disney ones when we go away. I've never tried them on, so I don't know how they fit. I did try to get my sons to wear them, they liked them, and DS6 found some that fit, but decided not to get them, and DS3 loved them, but they didn't fit. One size to small, and the next size up were entirely too big, he walked right out of them. So, I guess when we are in WDW I'll try on a mickey pair and see how they fit me. But all in all, I'm a Teva girl. I love my Teva's, they are very comfy, and I've never gotton a blister (knock on wood) all the years I've had them. DH has them too, but I'm sure he will wear sneakers to the park, he wears sneakers to the beach!!!!

I think Crocs are over-rated. I love my rainbow sandels. Crocs never fit me correctly either, I have longer toes too. I was so angry when I received the wrong size disney crocs in the mail (i ordered them from crocs.com), and when I went back to get some more, they were sold out!!! I finally got some more last year. They are comfortable, but not HEAVENLY.

If you buy a pair that are too big you can stick them in your dryer for a few minutes and they will shrink a bit! I did this with a pair of Niles and it worked great!:cool1:

Does your son wear a 10 or 11? That's the problem we had with my daughter. The 10/11 just fit, and the 12 was HUGE! However, I am thinking of buying her the 10/11 Crocs. When I bought my Caymen's, size 7, I thought they were going to be too small. My toes hit the front of the shoe, and everything I had heard said that that shouldn't happen. But, after wearing them for a week or two, they now fit perfectly, actually, they feel just a wee bit too big now. So, I'm thinking that the same thing would probably happen with my daughter's. I bought her a pair of fake Crocs at meijer, and they are just not holding up very well.

Remember that the crocs are meant to fit large which is explained on their web site. I bought my 1st pair "just right " and had that toe catch problem , followed advice on web site and 2nd pair are bliss.;)

Yup, he is wearing an 11 in sneakers and it was the 10/11 where his toes touched, which I read that they shouldn't, and the next size the 12/13 he walked right out of even with the strap down!:sad2: Reading these posts is making me think that they aren't going to fit me either, I have a narrow foot with really long toes!!:scared:

Clarification on my previous post...

When I was walking on gravel in my wife's Crocs I could feel every pebble thru the soles...no thanks.

If I wear a shoe I want to feel the comfort of the shoe...not the ground thru the shoe.

Try LL Beans Summer sneakers...super cool...and the dry out quickly after being drowned on Kali River Rapids...Splash Mt...or that almost daily FL afternoon down-pour.

Tennr, I checked out the LL Bean summer sneakers and they look great! They're much more affordable than the Teva's so I may order a pair to break in before our trip.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I guess I'm just not cut out to be a Croc girl. :sad2:

....and I'm not sure that wearing any shoe that big is good for the feet/knees/back in the long run.....

I can't wear 'em...they're just too big....I bought a flip-flop style that works well and is cushier than my average flip flop, but the traditional Croc I cannot do (and part of me does not dare do);)

My kids wear them, though at pool side one has already taken a dive (not in the good way) thanks to slipping....My other son is such a fashion plate that he wears them with socks :scared1: ....I'm sensing Birkenstocks and wool socks for him in the future.

Rockin Mama...

they worked great for me last year and I did 3 full days @ MK, AK, & Sea World. First time my feet never felt tired or sore.

Took me a few days after I got them to get used to the texture of the insoles.

I use socks with them...but I think they are intended to go sockless. If you wear socks I suggest maybe ordering a 1/2 size larger than what you'd normally wear.

I am a Keds girl. Always have been, thought I always would be. Love wearing the flowery ones, or ones with bubbles.

I have two pair of beach Crocs and they are okay,I got them within the past year.

Got a pair of Cleo at Dicks this weekend and absolutely love them. They are so comfy. I am thinking that I might get a second pair to be more fashionable.

Hi
I love the Crocs Scutes. They're a slide and so comfy. I have two pairs. I bought a new pair this year and actually the pair I bought last year are a little more softer. These are the best shoes I've ever worn. I wore them to WDW last August and I didn't have any blisters. Since the toe opening is open, you don't have to worry about your toes touching the front.:goodvibes
