Okay so one of the little girls wore a pair of (Walmart?) crocs to daycare today and said they were comfy. I have been considering getting DD the Tinkerbell sandals from The Disney Store for the summer in general, our Disney trip in particular. She is in love with Tink. But now I am wondering whether I should get her crocs instead, or at least the airwalk crocs. I am concerned that if she wears crocs on certain rides, she may have problems keeping them on her feet. She is wearing a 13 or 1 ish in her current shoes but that doesn't help me much with sizing for Crocs. So I guess my questions are, are there any problems that may occur with crocs at WDW that I should be aware of, are the airwalk crocs close enough to the real thing for a 6 year old, and if she's wearing a 13/1, what size do you suggest I get? Thanks

My DD has Crocs and she uses the straps to keep them on. I bought her 12/13 for Christmas when she was wearing an 11 (so they would work through the summer) and they are perfect- roomy but not too big at all. She has wide feet, so they are great for her.

We have only had authentic Crocs, but I have read good things about the ones from Payless.

Not sure if the Disney stores have started selling them yet or not but all the hotels at WDW sell the Disney Crocs made by Crocs. Both of my kids have Crocs but they wanted red Disney ones and I have University of Michigan Crocs as well as the all terrain Crocs and well I have to admit I too got myself a pair of black Mickey Mouse Crocs with the red strap.

Yes, she will do fine with the airwalks. Thats what I bought last year for my daughters.

I bought the Payless Airwalk "crocs" for my ds 18mths last summer and they were his favorite shoes. He never seemed to have a problem keeping them on. I just got a new pair for our trip in May.

Based on my own experience with Crocs, they seem to stay on because they mold to your feet and the top comes up so high on the foot. During our last trip a couple years back, my dd 6 and ds7 never had problems with ther Crocs on any of the rides.

my son wore his the whole trip with no problems on any rides!!

Crocs also has a new shoe for kids called "Crocling". It has a neoprene upper and strap that keep the shoe on the foot until it is pulled off. You get the comfy benefits of the croc without the floppy fit. I'm getting a pair for my stepson as soon as they are available...They should be now actually. They are really cute too. The neoprene bit has fun prints. They even have a lime green pair!! Check out the crocs site to see them!
