hi there!

i am looking for canadian made croc style shoes. anyone suggest some? and any good deals on them? or online codes?

thanks
amy

Most of the beach style Crocs are Canadian manufactured. My store sells them and we can only get the canadian made models, they never leave the country.

We can get the Beach, Rugged and the Athens styles from the Canadian Crocs maker, just check the bottom of the shoe it will say where it was made.

Holey Soles are made by a Canadian company, but they're not made in Canada. My Holey Soles were made in China. I'm still happy to be supporting a Canadian company though.. and I love my holey soles!! I have the 'Getaway' style. They're my most comfortable shoes (that I've ever had!)

A little off topic, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread, are cayman Crocs available at all in Canada? Every store I've checked in only has caymans for kids and only beach for adults.

I'm pretty sure I saw the cayman style (and many others) at Sport Check and at the St Jacobs market too.

I've found you have to watch the sizing of the crocs - the crocs made in different places seem to have different sizing then some - we bought a new pair of the normal XL ones for dh and he didn't try them on - got them home and the XL was the same size as my L! The ones that say 'made in Canada' seem fine though.

Thanks. I've looked at a couple Sportcheks and haven't seen them, but I'll have to check out the St.Jacobs Market... I haven't been there in a long time, it'll give me a good excuse to go.

We went to the St. Jacob's market last week and I was shocked at the amount and style of Crocs that they have! I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for there!:)

I am all for buying Canadian when possible. BUT aren't crocs made from a patented material? From what I understand, even the crocs imitations are not quite as good as the real thing.

The quality of Holey Soles is just a good as Crocs. They used to both be made at the same factory.

That kind of sounds promising. I was in Michigan yesterday and looked in a bunch of stores that sold Crocs (including Hallmark) and didn't find any adults Cayman... I was so surprised.

I went to the St.Jacobs Market on Thursday to look for Crocs. I was specifically looking for Caymans. I didn't find at all, but they had so many other styles(the biggest selection I've ever seen). There are 2 vendors who sell them. I asked one of them about caymans and he told me they're not available to him in the catalogue when he makes an order. Maybe this is the way it is for all stores I've looked in and is why I can't find Caymans anywhere in Canada! I'll probably have to buy them online... possibly on eBay.

Not anymore - like many other companies, they have moved overseas. I have 3 pairs in my hands right now that were made in China.

Actually, some Crocs are still made in Canada. I was just on the Crocs site today and it said Canadian customers ordering will have their order shipped from the Canadian factory.

Last I heard, there are 3 factories: Colorado (US), Canada and China.

This is interesting since all of the Crocs I can find in my city (I've checked at almost all of the stores as to where they are made as this is very important to our family) are made in China. They can import them to the Canadian factory from China, and then send out to Canadian customers, so I'm wondering if that is what the website meant? An article I read a few months ago stated that no Crocs were made in Canada any longer - this would be good if they were still made here in Canada, but I can't seem to find them here in my city (Windsor, ON).

Thanks for that info, Tiger

Little Flounder I'm sorry you didn't find the Caymens at St. Jacobs......I really didn't specifically look for that style when I was there but I was astonished at the amount of Crocs they do carry. :)
I just looked through the Sport Check site,as I find they have a great variety of Crocs but they have Caymens for kids but not for women! Weird!
Good luck in your search! Hope you had a nice time anyway in St. Jacob's!:thumbsup2

Thank you Sammi. Yes, I did have a good time at the market anyways. :) I realized I had not been there in about 5 years.

I have a feeling Cayman Crocs for adults just aren't available in Canada (because of what the one vendor told me). If I didn't have such narrow feet, I'd go with the beach crocs and this wouldn't be an issue! :worried: I'll get 'em somehow.

I'll keep looking for you too and I'll post here if I find them....you have me curious now! lol:flower3:

I can confirm that here in Winnipeg. I had one clerk arguing with me that there is no such thing as Caymans for adults. I told her there most definitely was such a thing, I was just searching to see if they were sold here in Canada or just the States. She got very annoyed with me and stomped off to ask her manager... he confirmed my story and told me that he can't order them here, just the Beach style. *sigh* They are just too much money, plus the shipping to take a chance on without being able to physically TRY them first.

On that note, does anyone know if the Disney stores sell the adult Caymans, or just the Beach style?

The same thing happened to me when I asked the vendor at the market. He told me Caymans are only available in the kids sizes. I told him I *know* there are adults ones because I've seen them for sale on the Crocs site. Since I was right  he then told me he's not able to order them.

I'd also like to know if Caymans are available anywhere at Disney. I might have to wait and buy them there. I think I could get away with ordering them online...the biggest kids size (womens 5), seem to be just a couple sizes too small, so I think I'd be safe ordering a size 7. I'm just a little nervous though, and shipping would probably be so high that it'd be worth waiting until my trip to WDW.

They also have a factory in Mexico now to.
