Croc shoe question

I know I read on here somewhere that you could put crocs in the dryer to shrink them if they are too big. What about the ones that aren't made by Crocs - an off-brand? I bought a really cute pair for dd3 from Avon but they didn't have her size - about 1 - 1 1/2 sizes too big. I was hoping they ran small. I would like to try to shink them. Any advice?

I don't think the dryer actually shrinks them - it's more that you warm them a bit in the dryer, say for 10 min, and then wear them to help break them in quicker (since they're supposed to mold to you're feet). I think you could try that with the off brands on a low setting, and see if it helps - but a lot of the non-Crocs seem to be from a harder material that does not mold to your feet as well.

I have a pair of Crocs Baja sandals where the top straps were way too loose when I first got them. I put them in the dryer and the straps shrunk down and now fit nice and snug. The actual length and width of the sole did not change, though.

I put them in the dryer for 10 minutes on high. They did shrink! I just put them back in the dryer to see if they will get any smaller.
