I hope they announce it soon if they are planning on doing it. We are so willing and want to buy annual passes, but we love the dinning package so much.... it is just such a good deal. I also hope they announce this before we book our trip in the middle of December.

We converted a long-planned "room only" res. to MYW w/dining @ ASMu the 1st day it was offered this year (IMO a great plan..except my unadventurous DS & DH had difficultly @ times selecting an appetizer or dessert that wasn't "yucky". To quote my DS: "...do I have to order both?"...of course, they're Paid For!".LOL)

WDW ticketing finally gave us a green light on trading in our leftover MYW passes towards new AP's in December...we'll combine w/DVC disc. & purchase @ gate. Was planning on ordering DDE the following Monday but, now think I might wait & see what transpires. Would hate to spend the $50 on the DDE if the MYW dining is realized.

While worthwhile, especially if you have small children & you like to eat 2 large meals/day, it does tend to keep you captive/onsite for meals...wish you didn't have to purchase it for length of stay.

I wouldn't hold your breath. DVC members have been told a dining plan "is in the works". And this was from one of the DVC executives - not a "rumor". So far, we've gotten zilch. Not even a status update.

I'll stick with an AP and the DDE until I officially hear otherwise. I'd LOVE to have a dining option available with an AP, but right now, I think Disney wants to keep dining tied to the packages.
