I just called CRO to upgrade my reservation at GF from GV to Sugarloaf. Here's how it went.

CRO: Sugarloaf Lodge is suites only.

ME: No, there are standard rooms too. Could you check again please?

CRO: Oh yeah your right.

ME: Could you check availability with AAA discount for 8/13/05-8/20/05 please?

(holding...holding...holding...)

CRO: There are no rooms available with the AAA discount

ME: Are there rooms available at rack rate?

(holding...holding...holding)

CRO: No the building is completely booked.

ME: OK, thanks.

Hang up & call back. Got a wonderful CM. Upgraded to Sugarloaf with AAA discount.

That just shouldn't happen! We should be able to call and get accurate info the first time. It's crazy the amount of money that is spent recalling and recalling and recalling Disney to make a reservation. So glad you were finally able to get what you wanted!

This is one of the reasons I decided to go with a TA this time even though I like to control things myself. I'll let the experts deal with that kind of thing. It shouldn't happen.
