HI ALL,

A bit of background. We have been to Disney a few times in the past, last may being our first time onsite, and we fell in love! We are headed back this May with another family joining us. First 5 days onsite @ Disney, second week will be relaxing at a pool house. 4 Adults, 2 boys (7) 2 girls (4). Our touring plan/ strategy is to get there at Rope Drop, do as much as we can, take a break for kids to re-energize, head back for supper/evening. Trying to fit in as much as possible @ MK with only ONE day to do MK. No park hoppers. We are Canadian, our $$ sucks, we are trying to skimp on spending extra $$. Here is what I have for our MK day.

First hour 9-10AM
Head straight to FantasyLand to do as much as possible in the first hour. Asterick by MUST DOs
- Enchanted Tales with BElle *
- Peter Pan
-Winnie the Pooh
- Its a small world
- Journey of little Mermaid
10-11
- Barnstormer*
- Dumbo *
- Speedway (FP 1)*
11-12
- Buzz Light Year
-7DMT (FP 2)*
- Carousel

Lunch Reservation @ BOG @ 12:05 (Plan to Preorder in hopes of this being done within an hour)

1-2
- Haunted Mansion
-Splash (FP 2)*

** Hit a Kiosk to see if we can get another FP for Splash for the evening as this is our fav ride
** At this point, if the kids are still doing well we will keep going. My plan is to try and stick it out to see the parade @ 3, but not sure my kids will last that long. If we have to leave, we will leave. Giving them a break and coming back in the evening is more important then hanging out until parade.

2-3
- BTMM*
- Aladdin
- Pirates*
3: Festival of Fantasy Parade: Then head back to CBR to relax for a bit

Afternoon break/refresher @ Hotel; Head back to Kingdom around 6 for a QS Supper (Thinking Waffle Frie Kiosk in FrontierLAnd
6-8
- Pirates*
- Aladdin
- Splash* (hopefully 4th FP)
- BTM*

Line up for Electical Parade (Best place to watch? suggestions? )

Thoughts? Suggestions? Is my plan in the morning too ambitious? If we manage to do pirates/Aladdin, etc in the afternoon then I might try to do a few things in FantasyLand if we didn't get to it all in the AM. I'd like to be done with FantasyLand by 1PM if at all possible.

Love to hear suggesions/hints/tips

Can't comment on your touring plan as it is more for the younger set than what we do...although looks like you've covered the biggies! As for where to watch the Electrical Parade, we have had good luck from Frontierland.

If you watch the parade, you probably won't get back to your resort by 4:30, and then you'd want to leave your resort around 5:15. Not much time to relax.

Yeah ... I'm starting to think we won't be able to see the parade .... maybe my kids will surprise me but if they tour anything like last year we will def have to leave the park after the first ride on SPLASH ... I wish we had more time, but this year we decided to split the vacay to see some other parks ...

If you can't make it back to the resort for a rest, maybe try Carosel of Hall of Presidents. The kids could rest in the a/c for a bit. Are you doing strollers for the 4yos?

We are doing strollers for all kids. We aren't used to the heat, so the kids wouldn't be able to walk. Well ... At least not as fast as I will need them too lol. So 2 dbl strollers, 1 for each family.

Good point about resting there. We could also do a little break at Tom Sawyer island too. Haven't done that since I've been a kid.

Really? Would have never thought to go there. Any where in particular?

I think the strollers are a great idea. Maybe add a little neck pillow for each kiddo and the could nap in the stroller??

So does the morning seem doable then? I can handle switching up the afternoon. Either skipping the parade, or finding a way to re-enegize/relax at the park ... But I'm curious if I can get all that done in the morning. Seems crowds are bigger these days ... anyone been recently and managed to get through a bunch with kids in tow?

I would just cut out some of the criss-crossing in the early part of the morning. I would do Enchanted Tales, Peter Pan, small world (it's right across from Peter Pan), Winnie the Pooh, Mermaid, Barnstormer, Dumbo, Speedway, Buzz Lightyear, Carousel, 7DMT. Just know, Enchanted Tales can take 15 - 20 minutes, so I'm not sure it's really possible to do 5 attractions between 9 - 10 am

Do you think it is smarter to do Enchanted at the end in that area then? Just to get through the other lines? I have not done Enchanted before, and I have heard that you really do not need a FP for it bc it is a show so they take in a lot of ppl at once kind of deal .... I was debating using the FP for either that or Speedway ... I'm not a fan of Speedway at all but all the kids love it.

It's possible to fit all those in from 9-10 if you are going on a recommended day in May & you hit Peter Pan's flight first. It's just barely possible though so be prepared to drop 1 or 2 if you need bathroom break or are moving slower.

Yes, I'd plan for Enchanted tales after all the others. Peter Pan, Pooh, Mermaid, Small World then Enchanted.

I'd also be hoping that you don't actually need to use the FP+ for Speedway. That attraction is so odd as far as when lines are.

I'd actually be willing to drop Peter Pan ... I know its a loved ride, but my kids were not feeling it when we were there last year. We do plan to hit MK on a preferre Day in May so here's to crossing our fingers I guess!

Yes! And I definitely got that tip on these boards. We watched from the area where you would head off to Splash/BTMRR up on the bridge as it was a bit elevated so for DD16 and I we could see fine looking "down" onto the floats. With little ones though, I would try to get a spot more on the main drag there maybe in front of Country Bears or that vicinity. If I remember correctly, the MSEP starts in Frontierland.

I think you could drop the Speedway FP and choose either Pirates or HM?
BTMRR will be closed in May

Get comfortable with the App before you go. If you get to a ride that you have a FP+ for, and the stand by wait is 5-10 minutes, use the stand by line, and modify the FP to something else with a longer wait.

Having just been to MK last Tuesday and followed a similar plan, I think it is too ambitious for a group of 8 with young kids in tow.
I would skip LM or IaSW in morning and target those for the 4th-5th FP since they are likely to be available later in day. Also, skip CoP until later as you should be able to do that any time with little wait and it takes a fare amount of time. Pirates is likely to be about 1 hour wait by midday.

Really? I've never used a FP for either, and have never found waits long. U are the second person to say this though so maybe I've just been lucky?

Hmm good point about thinking what FP will be available later in the day. In the evening I'd like to try for Pirates, Aladdin, Splash (2nd time), buzz, light parade.
