Any thoughts on my park plan rough draft? I need something in place to make ADR! We are not that interested in table service but want a couple of meals. Otherwise we'll be doing QS.
My son is 6 and it's just the two of us going.
I've checked a few crowd calendar predictions which is how I've decided on which park we should go to each day. We've never been to DW before so this is all new!

Sat Nov 12- arrive in the evening
(Staying at the Poly)

Sunday Nov 13- AK. This day seems easy to do (we are not interested in Pandora).
ADR: Tusker House for lunch

Monday Nov 12- DHS morning, rest time in afternoon, Christmas Party evening (probably show up to the MK around 5)

Tues Nov 13- depending on how long DS lasts at the Christmas party, we may be tired this morning and not make it for RD.
MK day (closes at 6). Could hop over to another park if we wanted.

Wed Nov 14- Epcot
ADR- Garden Grill for breakfast at 8

Thurs Nov 15- depart

I think Sunday & Wednesday are pretty much set but I am wondering if there is a better way to do Mon/Tues, considering we want to fit in the Christmas party, HS and more time at the MK. I am not terribly interested in HS but think it's worth at least a few hours. MK closes at 6 both Monday & Tuesday as there are Christmas parties both evenings.

Since we have never been to MK before, would it be a "let down" to spend the day there after the Christmas party? I assume there will definitely be longer waits. Maybe we should do MK on Monday and then the Christmas party on Tuesday?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I don’t have much advice, but just wanted to say many of my trips have been with just me and DS (ages 4-7 in our travels). And don’t tell my fam, but those have really some of my favorite trips. We can be so much more mobile/nimble and more in the moment with just the two of us. We tend to have a blast every time.

Anyways, reading your plan I was also thinking do the party on Tuesday instead of Monday. But Monday is Veterans Day and may be a more crowded day in the MK? I’m not sure if that’s a big day off school in the Orlando area?

In a perfect world, I’d generally want to see the MK under normal conditions first, then do the Christmas party - but that’s really not that big of a consideration.

Don’t think you can really go wrong and it’s just splitting hairs generally speaking. Your plan looks good. Have fun!

I was wondering that too...I think that Monday is a bit of a strange day, since veteran's day is the Sunday but may be observed with days off work/school on the Monday? I'm Canadian and we have Remembrance day on the 11th and that's how it works for us. It's a sort of holiday on the 12th this year (I'm off work, but kids go to school). I'll keep thinking, thanks :)
