So based on all the great feedback I got on my initial itinerary I've modified our original plans to try and minimize so many early mornings and late nights. In summary, we will be at the world May 2 - 8th with 5 real days of parks. We want to see the night shows at the 3 parks and kids are 8, 6 & 4. We will have a double stroller and are staying at POR.

I've come to accept the fact that I can't do RD at each park and 3 late nights :) We do have an early ADR for MK at CRT and want to RD our 2nd MK day as well. Then we have to RD DHS - we have to sign up for JTA and have an early ressie. I realize that still has us up early 3 of our 5 days but unless I give up RD at MK or one of the night time shows, I can't really do it any other way.

Saturday - Early ADR for CRT at MK, stay at MK for the day but leave at a decent time (possibly after FoF parade - early night)

Sunday - Early ADR at Sci Fi for SW meal (need to RD anyway for JTA), attractions, late lunch (2:40) ADR at H&V for Sofia and Doc, stay at park for Fantasmic! (late night)

Monday - Epcot - we won't rush to get here but will still aim to arrive by 10am unless the kids really want to sleep and take it slow. We'll stay for Illuminations.

Tuesday - AK - again, won't rush to get here. I will FP safari and 2 other headliners but we can take this day slow. We will probably stay for the parade then we will make our way to MK at some point for MSEP & FW. Depending on the timing we can ride the monorail, hang out extra at AK, stop back to our room... but this will be another late night.

Wednesday - MK day 2 - here we'd like to RD and spend the day here. This day there is no MSEP planned so we don't have to make this a late night. If we take a break or everyone is in a good mood, we can stay for FW but the next day we leave so we'll play it by ear.

The only other variation I've come up with is doing our 2nd MK day on Tuesday - this would mean RD and stay through FW. We could do a break in the afternoon though. That would mean we'd do a casual AK day on Wednesday. Only drawbacks to this is the crowd predictions for MK are at a 5 for Tuesday and a 3 for Wednesday AND AK has EMH on Wednesday so a later start could mean more crowds. Thanks!

You know your kids best and honestly, we did lots of late nights/early mornings and while I wouldn't do it again...I don't regret doing it either. We were a little tired but perked up in the parks. My girls are similar ages to your oldest two (we didn't have our younger two with) and they were overall pretty good with it. Take it as it comes. I do recommend the opening ceremony at MK and definitely sit somewhere (we sat down early in front of the castle, was a nice rest and we got a good spot on a bench on the castle side of the Mickey/Walt statue) where you can see the castle for Wishes at least one day, we loved the projection show, probably more than the actual fireworks...Illuminations was our favorite fireworks show :D
