We have BoG PPO reservations and I currently have

9:15am SDMT
10:55am BTMRR
11:55am Splash

We definitely want to ride Space, what are the odds of getting a FP later in the day for it? It's hubby's only day at MK, so trying to hit his favs (and he loves the coasters). We will have smaller kids but the youngest is 44". This would be 5/11 (Thu) and it's a non-EMM day. The kids have ridden all the coasters minus Screamin' at Disneyland so they should be fine on them.

I've been watching the wait times and FP+ availability on Touring Plans and Splash seems to have consistently lower wait times and higher FP+ availability than Space (though that may change as the weather gets warmer). My other thought is that if you are riding 7DMT at park opening with the PPO ADR, your kids might appreciate the second ride more later in the day, rather than riding twice in a row. If you don't mind getting wet earlier in the day, you might rearrange your FP+ so that you head to Frontierland after park opening, ride Splash standby, then use FP+ for BTMRR, then head to Tomorrowland, do Space with FP+, then do SDMT with FP+. Or do the reverse -- head to Space on standby at park opening, go do BTMRR and Splash with FP+, then do SDMT with FP+

Oh good ideas!

Ok, here's what I'm thinking - SDMT standby right after BoG - head to Space and Buzz standby (both are priorities), head towards Splash and BMTRR. Book PotC FP and ___ FP when I can. Circle back towards Fantasyland and hit up what we can there in the afternoon.

Sounds like a good plan to me -- the morning part of the plan is roughly what we're doing on our second MK day (followed by a midday break after our 1:00-2:00 SDMT FP). I've noticed that most of the Fantasyland attractions seems to have good day-of FP availability. The one attraction where the wait times seem high and FP+ seems surprisingly hard to get is Jungle Cruise, which is kind of a head scratcher to me. I'm just planning to skip it if we can't get a FP and the wait is more than 30 minutes.

Why not hit space after your BOG? We usually hit it first and there is minimal wait. You should be able to still make your SDMT FP+ time.

Because we will be at Be Our Guest for breakfast and will be able to go standby for SDMT. Right now I have 9:20 FP for Space, planning on heading to Buzz to standby and then to Space (or visa versa). I'm thinking then we try for later FP for Splash or BMTRR (which ones are harder to get day of?), hitting up PotC on the way over. We've done Fantasyland at Disneyland a lot, and I will have mostly 20-30yo adults (mine are the only kids and we have APs, so I'm okay with focusing on the faster rides).

In your OP, you said you had the following:

9:15am SDMT
10:55am BTMRR
11:55am Splash

So, that was what I was going after. I"m confused as to what you have currently other than you said a 920Space.

If you plan to ride 7DMT SB, then I would keep your 9:20 SM, and ride Buzz SB. Get Splash and BTMRR ahead of time if you are going to be able to ride 7DMT as SB. I've gotten BTMRR same day, don't recall splash - but we end up riding splash stand-by all the time because my boys love it.

So, since you can do 7DMT as SB, my advice is:
FP: Space, Splash & BTMRR.

I'm so sorry, I was messing around with canceling and getting FPs most of the day and evaluating touring plans, so I initially had what I said in the OP and then changed it later. What I ended up with was

BoG Reservation -
SDMT Standby
Head over to Space and Buzz
Back to Fantasyland for whatever we can fit in, focusing on Dumbo and Barnstormer
10:20 SDMT (probably hit this closer to 11-11:20)
Philharmagic
IaSW
Eating at Columbia House (will move this to after SDMT FP if eating at noon is going to be crazy)
11:45 BMTRR
12:45 Splash

I will try to pick up PotC and Jungle Cruise FPs after we use the other FPs, as we will do PotC, the Pirate's Adventure thingy, then Jungle Cruise (unless it's ridic waits or I can't get a FP, then I will pass).

I think this is a good plan. We typically hit Space and Buzz standby and make FP+ for 7DMT, Splash and BTMRR.
