So i have decided that the best way to keep me accountable of my dieting and exercise is to create my own thread here on the W.I.S.H board.
Ever since about jr. high I have struggled with my weight, I have tried certain diets and workout routines and have lost weight but fell off the wagon and never really got back on.
I am very overweight for my age, since I am only 17. I don't like it and I lack motivation to start and follow through with diets and workouts. But things have changed recently, I NEED and WANT to lose weight.
currently: 230 (i believe)
goal: 180
height: 5'4
other goals: to have more self confidence. For my ankles and knees to NOT hurt when I walk for long periods of time. have a family history of diabetes.
I am going to follow my mother's diet that she got from ediets.com and see how that works out. she said its very simple to make the meals and snacks. I am actually thinking about doing the first part of my dieting with the south beach diet, to get a jump start. We don't have a scale at home so that i can measure my weight loss but i don't care as much about the scale as i do my size. That will be my way measurement, how my clothes fit, and seeing if i can fit in smaller clothing.
