crinoline or no crinoline

That is the question...
So, I have my dress...and I'm not sure if I should use a crinoline or not...My fear is that the sides of the dress will fall into itself. (if that makes much of any sense)
When I tried the dress on they said that I would have to sew the crini into the dress...I'm not super sold on that...
here is the dress...http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J857

Thoughts? Insight? Not sure what to do here...The dress fits me perfectly...even with the shoes...So, what is a girl to do?

i feel your pain! i don't know about the having to sew it in part, but i know with mine it seems like the dress will bunch up between your legs when you walk, kind of cling, without the crinoline?

Mine already has one sewn in but after trying on my dress a few times and talking with other brides I decided I wanted a little more umpf to my gown. I dyed mine pink just to get a few photos of it peeping out and it definately held my gown away from my legs.

It did not make a huge difference - it just gave the dress a little more body.

I had no intentions of getting a crinoline for my dress until they brought out one medium levels. I actually really liked it. I liked that it got my dress off my legs and it laid better. I'm planning to order my on ebay because it will be cheaper.

I also didn't want crinoline when I originally tried it on with my dress in the store (it already has a layer of built in crinoline). But once I went to my fittings, I realized my dress kind of just hung there. So I bought an A-line crinoline and LOVE it with it now. It fills out the dress so nicely that I can't believe I didn't want it originally. I think its because I tried on a dress in the store that was 2 sizes too big, so the dress itself looked fuller even without the crinoline.

I definitely recommend trying it on with your dress at your fittings at least:rotfl:. You might be pleasantly surprised, like me!

I debated the same thing, I went with the crinoline and am glad I did, since it was hotter on our wedding day than I thought and the crini ended up sticking to my legs and not my dress, my dress hung nicely like it should and I didn't have to worry about it.

I would definitely get the crinoline, but one that slips on like a slip under the dress. I wouldn't get a real poofy one, but maybe one that will hold out the bottom just a bit.

I think the thing that I'm worried about is it bunching up underneath the dress b/c the bodice is fitted. That is why I'm debating on whether or not to look at one that has lycra at the top and bodice area vs one that just tied on just to keep it smooth...
Unfortunately, I dont need a fitting...my dress fit me perfectly and I dont need alterations...

I wore a small crinoline (Linda's pink one actually :) ) and it added a little shape to my flowy dress. It didn't "need it" but I thought it held shape better with it so I wore it and loved it :goodvibes
