Criminal Minds: DIS Official Thread 2 (Spoilers)

Unfortunately, there's some new evidence pointing to Shemar/Morgan being the one leaving :( Episode 16 is titled "Derek" and it's being directed by TG. Then Joe's directing the next one, and MGG's directing the one after that. The episode MGG directs is supposed to be the one where someone leaves. That one is also being co-written by Kirsten.

They've never had TG/JM/MGG directed episodes all in a row like that before. That sounds like it could be a three part exit story arc for Morgan :(

I'm still upset about Arrow  Mid-season finale week is so stressful :faint: :p

Ugh agreed!!!! I'm hoping it's just a fake out.

:( That makes me sad but not surprised. He may be leaving to focus on other projects and spending more time with his mom before the disease progresses much worse.

UGH still not as bad as Arrow...someone "died"

This is why it's good to binge watch happy, cherry Christmas movies during the mid-season break. :santa: ::yes::

Even some of the former characters from CM and other angsty shows have turned up in some of these Christmas movies. Must be some type of rehabilitation therapy for them after chasing serial killers & the like all the time. I recognized 2 sheriff/cops, one former victim (who lived) and even one unsub from CM. Meghan Ory from Once Upon A Time, is starring in one that I haven't watched yet. Dean Cain (Superman) is in, at least 2. And from Supernatural: Ellen (Samantha Ferris) is in Let it Snow, Gadreel is in Angel of Christmas, (and still having angel problems. :duck: :sad2: ) Lisa (Cindy Sampson) turned up in two movies. I guess Lisa has been able to pick her life back up again after Dean. :thumbsup2 Brooke Nevin is starring in one, and some sheriff is in one.

Or it could be Kristen. All season has been about her hiding from these killers. Unless Morgan jumps in front of her to take the bullet, it could be her, and Morgan & the team weren't able to save her after all. :sad1:

She did co-write the episode. So they could have let her write her own exit AND ask MGG to direct it, which a writer would be able to do. She just got engaged, so she could be the one wanting to embark on new things & move in a different direction.

Haha yes I've been doing that. One of the cast members from arrow has been in a few Christmas movies. Snow bride, 12 days of Christmas gifts I think is what it was called.

I'm glad Cindy Sampson is doing something besides that toothpaste commercial I keep seeing :p

I'll watch Tahmoh in anything

Are these all Hallmark movies? Hallmark was dropped from our cable package a few years ago :sad2:

Cindy's movies are on either Ion or Lifetime, along with Dean Cain.

I also saw the actor who plays Kevin starring in one movie on one of those channels. I think it was called A Golden Christmas, which featured a mysterious/magical golden retriever, hence the name. It was was weird seeing Kevin in the movie though, knowing how his life has since imploded in real life. :sad2: I was kind of wishing the woman wouldn't end up with him. :crazy2: Oh! I just remembered, the woman was Andrea Roth. She played that really ambitious FBI agent in Philly. The one who really wanted to get the serial killer who left notebooks in a storage facility, detailing all the women he tortured & murdered. And in Andrea's ambition to get the unsub, she became one of his victims.

Tahmoh's movie and most of the other movies are on Hallmark & it's sister channel. His movie might show up on Amazon Video later in the year for rental. He's one of the male leads competing for the heart of the female lead. But, she has a wooden angel that's been in her family for decades that keeps messing with him. :sad2: The angel has been stored away in a box all this time, so it doesn't know how Gadreel got out of prison and redeemed himself. :sad2:

I thought you were talking about SPN's Kevin for a second  I was worried I somehow missed some drama with Osric :faint:

CM's Kevin was just on Dr. Phil for the second time a couple weeks ago. He was arrested again in October, for attacking his girlfriend :scared:

Poor Gadreel. He can never catch a break :sad2:

Jared starred in this movie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_Cottage

I saw it years ago, long before I started SPN, but I don't remember it at all. I guess I'll have to watch it again :rolleyes1 I just watched the trailer. The girl who plays Jared's girlfriend(?) was on SPN. Dean flirted with her :duck:

I TRIED watching that movie. I recorded it one nite and ended up fast forwarding through most of it. :headache: It has to be one of the worst Christmas movies. :crazy2: I don't care who was in it. More than likely, one star signed on without even reading the script, (most likely Peter O'Toole, as he hadn't been working much and needed the money,) and then every other star signed on because of that person. :sad2: But that movie is so. ploddingly. slow. and had such a super syrupy plot that even the very fine actors in it couldn't act well in it, (except the very end.) It's the kind of Christmas movie that gives all Christmas movies a bad reputation. :headache: It's the equivalent of when people think of something made out of Popsicle sticks & Elmer's glue when they hear the word "crafts" instead of a finely handcarved back of a mahogany chair. :sad2:

For some reason, many of the older Christmas movies were badly written & acted in. :confused3 It was like a genre of throwaway, overly moralistic, hit people on the head with a Christmas message to be learned :headache: instead of either a fun, light or uplifting movie. Those aren't the kind of Christmas movies that I've been binge watching. What's worse about "Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage," is that the artist who inspired the movie actually died a couple years ago from a drug overdose of prescription sedatives mixed with alcohol. He was an addict who doped himself up as he really didn't live the kind of happy or idyllic life that all his paintings were about. :sad2: Tainted his brand, after his death.

The Christmas movies in later years, like 2010 and above became more fun, funny, cheery & romantic. It's like someone finally got the bright idea that Christmas movies can be (somewhat) well written and HAPPY  and other writers and the studios followed suit. :yay: I'm very careful which Christmas movies I record, and I usually don't record the older stuff or with a plot that really sounds bad. :badpc: I really like going to bed after watching something with a light, happy ending. I realized, it makes such a difference how I end my day and how I wake up in the morning, usually filled with new art ideas, I have to write down right away before I lose the idea. :artist:

Anyway, about Tahmoh's movie, Angel of Christmas, while I was FF past commercials last nite, found out that Lifetime has an app to watch their stuff online. So I Googled and found out that Hallmark has an app to watch their original movies. You can download it onto your iPhone or tablet and possibly catch it the next time it airs, which seems to be only 6am on Christmas, unless there is a way to watch stuff through the app, while it's not airing. :confused3

I haven't recorded Snow Bride yet. But, I do really like 12 days of Christmas Gifts. It's one of the better written, more plausible scripts. :thumbsup2

What I find funny is that there are a few Christmas movies where the female lead just throws all caution to the wind, breaks several of the rules on CM's "What NOT To Do" list, :scared: gets in a car with the guy, a complete stranger, and drives several hundred miles, across different states, through very deserted highways, and LIVES! They even end up falling in love. :rotfl: I think some of these movies make more victims for the real FBI, :sad2: as they give the idea to really naive, unsuspecting girls that it is okay, after all, to get in cars with complete strangers and it will turn out to be a happy ending. :sad2:

Snow Bride is interesting, for me it's one time and done. I agree though on 12 days of Christmas gifts, there was another one similar on on of the other Hallmark stations that was good too with a similar plot.

No kidding!!!!!

Also MGG's Chipmunk movie is out this weekend if you want a breather from Star Wars :rotfl:
