We're past the halfway mark at episode 13! There are 24 shows slated for this season.

Next week is another rerun.


Here is that article I mentioned earlier about the exec producer of CM also having to take the helm of Suspect Behavior, and worrying if this is stretching him thin, and if the quality has gone down on CM as his focus isn't fully on CM anymore.

"Chris Mundy has been ousted as showrunner of the 'Criminal Minds' spinoff, leaving Ed Bernero to pull double duty on as head of both 'Minds' dramas.

Mundy served as a writer and co-executive producer on the original 'Criminal Minds' before being handed the reins of the spinoff. However, according to Deadline Hollywood, CBS was unhappy with the show's creative direction and brought in Bernero.

The spinoff, titled 'Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior' and starring Forest Whitaker and Janeane Garofalo, will begin a 13-episode run at midseason.

Having one showrunner for a mothership show and its spinoff isn't out of the ordinary at CBS. Shane Brennan runs both 'NCIS' and 'NCIS: LA.'

Besides his work on 'Criminal Minds,' Mundy has worked on 'Cold Case' and 'Chicago Hope' among other programs. According to Variety, he had never served as a showrunner before.

With Bernero running both shows, executive producers Simon Mirren and Erica Messer will have more control at 'Criminal Minds,' but Bernero will still be the showrunner."

Hmm, maybe the show will only run the 13 weeks and die a quiet death and the focus will go back to CM and returning it to the quality show it should be.

Did anyone just see the beginning of Blue Bloods? I swear that woman with the short black hair was the woman who played Elle.

Other than the enormous amount of violence, that episode was underwhelming.

I couldn't understand why Morgan was the one that kept going in. Especially walking into the gas station. Since he was the one that shot the girlfriend, I would have thought the guy would have had no problem shooting him right in the head after he delivered the booze.


The guy at the end, meeting Prentice is the same actor who played Robert the Bruce in Braveheart.

Did anyone just see the beginning of Blue Bloods? I swear that woman with the short black hair was the woman who played Elle.

I missed it. But, I read she lives in NYC now, where Blue Bloods films.

Oh, wait, yes, that's her. She's playing the MOTHER??? Wasn't she only off CM only 3 years ago? She couldn't have aged that much.

What little you saw was it.

I remember her mom is an ambassador, so she traveled around a lot and she was in some other part of the FBI or law enforcement before joining the BAU.

As for the backstory of the actress, Paget Brewster, playing Prentiss: When it came time to renegotiate Paget's contract, the producers cut the amount of episodes she will appear in this season. They told her then, that this was definitely her last year on the show. (Her exact words from her Twitter.)

Some time after that time, they have asked her to stay on. BUT, Paget negotiated an out from the show, should she be offered a chance to do a pilot for another TV show and that show gets picked up to become a new TV series.

She has said that so far, she hasn't read anything that has really struck her to want to do.

Frankly, if a show jacked me off in that way, I would probably leave, too. Even if they asked her to stay next year, there is no guarantee of the year after that. Better to jump ship now, since she already knows they thought she was expendable.

Thus, begins some storyline where she will be "missing" from some episodes later, to possibly forever.

Is it just me or CM is getting a bit gory and titillating . They had crimes before but the people being burnt alive, the hatchet and the fingers rolling and then the girl at the gas station just kind of made me think its getting too TMI. Or am I overreacting.

The earlier episodes of this season(like the one on now) were much better than the last couple. Did anyone notice that the show started going downhill when Seaver joined the team?

In non-CM related news...my psychology class ended a couple weeks ago but I just started sociology. And forensics! It's gonna be a ton of labs. Fingerprinting and cool stuff like that And I sent out my college applications on Monday

Did anyone see the preview for next week just now? It looks good! More like the old CM, so hopefully this string of bad episodes is over. And based on the preview we now need to add taking cabs to our Things Not To Do List
