It would be easier & quicker if the unsub just shoots Seaver.

When Hotch has to explain what happened, all he has to say is, "Well, she was stupid. :confused3 She walked in front of a bullet while trying to avoid some blood." :p

Yup. :rotfl: It would make more sense too

Getting rid of Shemar would make already make me furious, but if they do, they could at least give him a good exit. Prentiss had a good exit. JJ got a promotion, if Hotch leaves he gets a promotion. But if Morgan leaves the BAU because of a budget cut, that would be such a horrible exit for a beloved character

Maybe, like I wondered earlier, maybe we get J.J. back as a profiler AND she will also be the press gal. This way they only have to pay her slightly more, instead of hiring a whole second person. Then if Prentiss comes back later on, she can slip right back in.

OK, I just watched JJ's "last" episode for the first time & I'm confused. I mean, I know she had to leave IRL, but let's leave that for a moment -

The FBI isn't the military. How can they require JJ to take a job that she doesn't want? What is she, traded for a first round draft pick & a pitcher to be named later?? For an intelligent show, that whole premise made no sense whatsoever! Can someone enlighten me?

From what little I know: The FBI is a governmental agency. The head FBI director is handpicked by the president. The president is our Commander in Chief. FBI agents are often referred to as G-men. So I suppose there is a military hierarchy in a way. The Pentagon is a higher agency within that infrastructure. So they can pluck someone from a lower agency if they want? :confused3

My problem was that they didn't ask her if she agrees to the move. But, I guess that would be like asking a cadet if they want to mop the floor.

I also think that Strauss allowed the transfer, when possibly she could have put up a protest. But, she was thinking more of her career. It looks good for her that one of ranks got plucked for a Pentagon position. :snooty:

Oh, I understand completely about Strauss and why she wanted it. I just don't understand why JJ couldn't just turn down a promotion. After all, Tony did on NCIS, and that one is military - the FBI isn't.

I think the writers just needed a quick way to get her off the show so they didn't really think it through. The only other way they could've gotten her off the show so fast(that I can think of) would be killing her off and they obviously didn't want to do that. Maybe they knew in the back of their minds that she'd be back :scratchin

But, the FBI is governmental. When I was trying to figure out the whole "Director" thing, where they called Strauss a director, then on SB, they report to some director, I saw on Wikipedia some sort of branch hierarchy, like a family tree, that the FBI is on.

The President & the White House were at the top, naturally. Then I guess the Pentagon is second, or up there. The Pentagon does deal with military stuff and security of the U.S. I think the hierarchy is in place so there is no bickering, especially in a crisis, like 9/11, when time is of the essence, of who has the higher authority and which branch gets their orders carried out first, or in place of another organization who has counter orders.

I just remembered something...Joe's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was revealed today :goodvibes

:teeth: Actually, MGG was in NYC for the Tribeca Film Festival. He starred in one of the films, Magic Valley.

The Tribeca Film Festival is well under way and that means there are a slew of small films looking to get their shine at the annual celebration. One of those flicks is the eerie "Magic Valley."

MTV News caught up with the film's stars Matthew Gray Gubler, Scott Glenn ("Sucker Punch") and Kyle Gallner at Tribeca to chat about the movie.

"I think [the director] Jaffe [Zinn] pulled off something very unique and special, and I think I speak for all of us when I say I think we're very proud to have been a part of such a strange and wonderful film," Gubler said. "I sort of prefer this format to everything. Also, the guy that directed it is one of my best friends, so that alone was a great pleasure to work with him on something."

Gubler went on to say that going from his work on the hit network series "Criminal Minds" to a small film was a welcome change of pace.

"I find that these movies — while they might not appeal to a giant audience — typically are the ones that touch me the most and mean the most," he explained. "So I would rather, if I could do anything, I would do zero-budget movies forever."

Like his co-star, Gallner said being a part of something that seems so small in the Hollywood world of blockbusters is sort of "exhilarating." "It's one of those things [about] indie films [that] are interesting in a way that they're brave stories that people don't want to tell and, like you said, there's not going to be the appeal to," he said. "It isn't going to be for everybody, but it's more you can get really emotionally connected and a lot of times it's very interesting characters and very interesting stories."
