DW (and I, when buying her gifts) buys all her Cricut stuff here:

We've bought everything from mats to machines from them, and never had an issue. Their prices, likewise, seem to be pretty competitive.
I'm NOT sure if they ship out of the US, though....

Am a newbie to the cricut and just ordered the "create" version from the Canadian tv shopping channel. It includes:
1 x Cricut® Don Juan font & shape cartridge (9.45" x 5" x 1.54")
1 x Graphically Speaking Cricut® cartridge (9.45" x 5" x 1.54")
1 x Storybook cartridge (9.45" x 5" x 1.54")
3 x Cutting mats (6" x 12")
1 x Basic ink cartridge (4.2" x 3.6" x .3")
1 x Primary ink cartridge (4.2" x 3.6" x .3")
1 x CUL approved power adapter
1 x Quick start guide and user manual
Obviously I'm going to need paper. Would anyone who uses the cricut be willing to let me know what other essentials I'll need to begin using my machine (including tips on paper)? Thanks so much!
Some of my tips for beginners are, always start with scrap paper and just play around with the settings to get used to them. Know that the mats will be very sticky at first so I would not use delicate papers when you are first starting out. There is a spatula tool that is a must have, but it is sold separately. It is great for getting things off the mat in one piece. If the mat looses its stickiness wipe it gently with a baby wipe and let it dry. Over time the mats will loose sticky all together. You can re-sticky them with re positional adhesive (rather than buying new mats).
Have fun playing!![]()
