Cricut ?

I know I am sorry for yet another cricut question but I need help.

I really want a cricut and finally have enough saved for it. But now they are coming out with the bigger one. Is the little one still good. Are they going to still make carts for the orginal? In other words is the Expression going to replace the original or will they co-exist?

My understanding is that they will co-exist. If you go to cricut.com, they have addressed your question specifically.

Also, the existing cartridges are for use in both the expression and the original cricut. There are no new carts that are for the expression only. There are however two carts that are available only with the purchase of the expression -- accent essentials and plantin schoolbook. Just like the George cart is only available with the purchase of the original cricut.

I just got the cricut expression for my bday. I have only used it once and...WOW!! It is fascinating. I wish I could hire a nanny for a week and just play all day.

The only reason why I might be interested in the 12 x 12 cricut is going doing negative titles, but I manage just fine with my 6 x 12 cricut. I can't imagine making such huge die cuts to use in scrapbooking, but if one was making bulletin boards then yes, I could see using the Expression cricut.

Whichever you choose will be wonderful. Just got my Cricut one week ago and love it. This week I did cut bulletin board letters and they are great - used the "Makin The Grade" cart - perfect for my classroom board. Caroline

I have the small one and love it. I don't see my self getting the new one anytime soon.

Thanks for all the replies. I went to the cricut website and think I will get the orginal still. The expression is too much $$ and I don't need anthing that big. I scrapbook 12x12 so the little one will be perfect. We just moved into our first house and I have my own scrapbook room and this will be the perfect addition.

I love the cricut website too!
