Cricut Tools on sale at ACMoore

So I saw that the Cricut tools are 40% off at ACMoore this week. I need to buy cutting matts since I just have 1 for my expression. This is the first time I have seen them on sale.

I want to know how many you have and use when you are scrapping? How long do they last, and can you really "clean" them with baby wipes?

I have had good luck using the baby wipes on mine. Makes them recover a little stickiness- nothing like when they are brand new, but it is a good idea to use them from the get go.

They didn't have any at my ACM so I got a rain check for 4 packages of the 12 x 12 mats. That will give me 8 mats, which I hope will get me through a year. Since November I have gone through 3 mats, and I haven't had great luck with the baby wipes. When the mat isn't good enough for the machine anymore, I use it to hold pieces down while I glitter them.

Thanks Kim. I can't quite make myself throw them away. And I should, because I am forever getting the good, okay, and don't ever use ones all mixed up. Using them to hold something down is a good idea.
I did have pretty decent results with the blue/clear liquid adhesive on two of my smaller sheets.

I used a Sharpie and wrote "NOT FOR MACHINE USE" across the ones that are too far gone. I have a huge fear of breaking my Expression by doing something really stupid.

I wipe my mats down with baby wipes when they start accumulating lots of linty paper pieces on it. Works great for me.

Thanks for mentioning the rain check. I didn't realize they would do that. I am planning on getting as many as they have in stock, but just my luck they will be out. I was thinking of driving the 30 minutes to the next closest ACM, but the rain check is much easier!

i have been spraying mine with repositional spray adhesive and it works GREAT!!!!!!
LOVE IT!
I am glad i did trow my old mats away
