Cricut Projects-Post them here

Jen - that boat is amazing and the markers are so neat! That would totally make the trip even more exciting to get too!

Thanks! It's still in my dining room (I can see it right now), makes me smile every time I look at it.

Love the ideas...keep them coming, I always need something to help me get started and then I can make it my own. Here are a few things I have been working on lately:

This was the first swap I did in years and I went WAY overboard!!

A few cards and a gift made with my Cricut. Again, sorry for the giganto photos. I always forget to size them down when I put them in Photobucket and it's such a headache to resize them once they're uploaded.

Thank you for sharing.. Those are awesome.

Can I ask what kind of containers were used in the last photo?? I think that would be neat for several gifts this year.

It's funny that you should ask about that one. With all of the beautiful artwork on that bulletin board, I got the most questions on the candy box and and not too far behind were questions about the jar in the last photo. The reason I say that it's funny is because it's just a narrow mouth pint sized canning jar. Get them at a thrift store especially this time of year. I filled it with Christmas Gobstoppers which I sorted and then layered by color (it looks cute with them just tossed in randomly too). I got the Gobstoppers at Walmart for $1/box.

The candle rests in a votive holder that is shaped like a little flower pot. I got it at Michael's for 99 cents right in the aisle with the candles. The ribbon came from Walmart. I cut the tag with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and then stamped it with the coordinating stamps from the December 25th set. I think it is so festive and it's a LOT of bang for your buck! The ribbon really coordinates with the stamp set.

I be making lots of these for gifts too. I also think they'd sell well at a craft show.

I thought the candle holders were totally familiar as I had some..but I couldn't for the life of me think how it fit in the jar... Mission this weekend to find some jars!!!! :O

Thank you so much!!!

Love your cards! So lovely. Candle holders are really nice.

I love the stocking gift card holder. Is there a pattern for it, or was it freehand?
Great projects!

I used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge. If I had to do it over again, I would alter the shape in Cricut Craft Room to make it wider. It was just a little too narrow for the gift card. The cartridge also has the toe/heel/cuff for the stocking.

Just went to Michaels and hit the Recollection border punches - 40% off AND used my 25% off entire purchase coupon - got it for $5.84!! Plus they had 24 sheets of paper on clearance for $0.99!! Going back tonight to get another border punch!!

I had absolutely no idea that a company other than Cricut made Cricut cartridges. So, I googled that cartridge, watched a bunch of youtube videos showing all it offers.

Oh, I am soooooooo trying to justify spending $100 for a cartridge & the 3 sets of stamps it comes with.

I love the border punches idea in the cartridge. That would save space for me. A premium in our condo.

Are there other Cricut Cartridges out there not made by Cricut?

It's actually made by Cricut, but it's just exclusive to CTMH. Creative Memories also has some exclusive cartridges.

be careful where you buy...

A friend of mine that owns a scrapping online store was going to buy a bunch of carts from a company. She first decided to order 1 cart for herself before having people order from her just to see what the carts were like and the carts did not fit the machine. Yes they said they were cricut carts

This is good advice. Just check the Cricut website to see if the cartridge is listed as an official Cricut Cartridge before you buy. I can attest that the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge is indeed made by Cricut for the Cricut machine. Although I'm not a Creative Memories consultant, I would assume that is also the case with their cartridges. Both the CTMH and the CM ones are listed on the Cricut Website and are exclusive to one or the other (CTMH or CM).

All the carts that the company was selling were names of cricut cartridges. The carts didn't fit US cricut machines. The company that was selling the carts were in Canada. When my friend bought a cart from the company she went to use it and the "prongs" didn't line up in her machine. The company did refund her money because they didn't know that Canada and US machine were different.

Now I only buy my carts from cricut, michaels, acmoore or online stores that I have bought from in the past.
