I am excited to say, that I decided to go ahead and get my own Cricut Expression 2, because we are getting ready for our wedding, and thought it would benefit me now AND later to get one. Only own this cartridge and will hope for more in the future, especially Disney ones.

Let's get this going. See some projects, give advice, share all the fun. Maybe we can convert a few people to join us and invest into these beauties.

I have bought I think all of the Disney cartridges available. Just recently bought the newest one, with Pinnochio & Alice, but haven't had a chance to use it yet.
These always come in handy when I work on the most current scrapbook of our trip. But have also used them for cards.

You got it right The scalloped circle may have been from some other cart I can't remember.

Congratulations on your engagement! The Mini Monograms cartridge has scalloped circles and squares.

Woot! any new projects from anyone? I've managed to find my cricut amongst the mess of us getting new carpet installed. Using some our new cartridges tonight. Very excited!

This is my next cricut project. This video is not actually mine, but this is what I want to make. Anyone interested in trying it out with me?

We are actually planning our wedding for August 2011, and looking at possibly doing our wedding invitations to look that way. Thoughts?

Looking forwards to it! I am going to start working on my wedding invitations, so it's really down to learning how to use the cricut machine properly. Will make sure to post lots of photos as I go along.

but I"m a evil SCAL user so my next machine will have to use that program

Just got my Cricut for Christmas.. I have played around a bit... But the problem is after only using it a bit my mat seems to not be sticky enough ??? It grabs the paper off center and messes everything up

I tried the baby wipes helps a bit but not much...
what am I doing wrong ?

I just got the Cricut Expression for Christmas so can I join the party???

I have done lots of googling the past two weeks about using the machine. The one thing I remember reading about a non-sticky mat is to try using dawn and rub it over the mat (see if you can get any lint/paper bits off) and then run under hot water will rubbing it. There are other suggestions out there too. Just do a little searching and see what works for you.

I can't wait to start crafting with this!

i too love my cricut, not as much as disney but i actually bought the beauty and the beast cartridge first so had to buy the cricut. I've been using my cricut with cheap vinyl to use with the yudu.so much easier and much cheaper, quicker clean up as well.

If your mat looses its sticky just use repositional adhesive to make it sticky again. Simply block off the edges of the mat so that you do not get glue on the runners of the machine and spray lightly with the adhesive. (I use 3M aresol adhesive.) Works like a charm! Though after a while you do have to break down and buy a new mat.

Ok I brought down and bought the Mickey Classic cartridge this weekend!! It was on sale from $90 to $40 so I said - YES!! What a pain it is! I've read so much on people's comments on how hard the pieces are but man they weren't kidding! So I'm going to work with it some. SO excited to have it!!

The Mickey & Friends cart is one of my favorites. It was the first cart I got when I bought my Cricut.

I had heard that the pieces were difficult as well.

I did something that really helped me at first and maybe it will work for you....

I wanted to make a card with a Minnie Mouse on it. I initially made a Minnie as large as I was able to make. I could easily see how the pieces fit together since they were so large. I then made the Minnie at the 3" size that I needed for the card and it was easy to put together.

Whenever a character seemed confusing, I would do the same thing, and I have never had a problem with the smaller sizes. I no longer have to do that, but it sure helped initially.
