Would you avid cricut users recommend the cricut create or the expression?
I will be using it mainly for scrapbooking and card making.
I borrowed my sisters baby cricut and now I need one of my own.
I just don't think that I will use the E to its full potential so not sure if I want to spend the money on the big machine. I have read that the create cuts up to 11.5 inches and also read on another board that it cuts that big only on certain cartridges. That would be disappointing...
Does anyone have any input?

I don't know how big the Create can go, but for me, I like the size of my little bug. I use it primarily for cards and scrapping layouts. If I were making bulletin boards then I would definitely go with the Expression. But for what I do, I can't imagine working with the size of the Expression but I would like the features of the Expression in my bug. So for me, if my little bug ever went to the scrapbook heaven in the sky, I would replace it with the Create. :)

I would get the expression. I use mine to scrap and am surprised at how much I use the bigger cuts. Some things are harder to put together smaller. Also if I need a huge shape I have it. I think have the smaller bug and my mom bought the E. I haven't used my smaller once since she got hers. I also hate to cut my paper small to fit the smaller ones. I may need that larger scrap for photo mats or something else.

I'd barely had my little Cricut for two weeks when the E went on sale and I "upgraded" to it -- it does so much more. If you can afford the money and space for it, go for the E. Getting into Cricut is an expensive hobby -- so be aware of that. Acquiring more cartridges, more paper, other supplies, accessories like the Jukeboxes to hold multiple cartridges (and then there's the Design Studio software (be sure your computer is compatible before getting that -- it does work with the small one, too -- for word-welding, etc.), and now there's the Gypsy . . . . .
