Hi
Off to Orlando at end of next week and wanted to know if anyone had watched Prem. football at Cricketer's Arms lately ?
Few Q's
1) Do they operate a Cover Charge for matches ?
2) I'm a Man City Season ticket holder (today is going pretty nicely so far:rotfl2: ) and we're on live on Sat 13th. Is it ok in Cricketer's to watch game as it's run and staffed by Chelsea supporters. Am I ok wearing my colours or not ?
Thanks in advance

To be honest not sure but I know that English friends living in the USA have recommended it for watching football though I guess that would be lunch time ? They actually have a website as they do live music at night and i am posative they would be happy to answer any questions you have.

Oh and remember they will not be thugs like at home so I am sure you will be okay I am just staying quiet about Spurs :lmao:

We went to the Cricketers to watch the Newcastle - Coventry game last week. Unlike days of old there was no cover charge, however this may be due to it being a fairly low key cup match. We had a sandwich and some chips, noticed they automatically added a gratuity (about 15%) and also a service charge on top of that (again 15%), not sure if the service charge was a form of cover charge or not.

We have seen a few matches in there over the years, no problems wearing the shirt. They do seem to be Chelsea supporters but that is no problem, I have never found them to be the most interested bar staff in the world, but the beer is good as are the surroundings. Dont hold your breath waiting for a reply to your email either.

It will be worth a visit, especially if you get some of the players you are being linked with today!

Cheers Michael

Haven't been since the Cricketer's located to Festival Bay.

They do charge for 'certain games' - no problem wearing a shirt *as long as it's red and has a Liver Bird on it* ;)

I'm away for a few games in October (getting married during the football season, what an oversight :lmao: ), so hoping to catch our game against Pompey on the 29th (day after the wedding tho, so I may be pushing it!).

Am on the Disney Wonder when we play Atlético Madrid at home so i've given up on that :( (My dad will be happy tho, as he'll be home so can have my ticket, tho i have no idea where my Portsmouth ticket will go, as anyone i would sell it to will be at the wedding, not to mention 2 are season ticket holders trying to flog theirs too - like i say, what an oversight having a wedding in October :lmao:)

:goodvibes

LOL thats why we got married in June so I knew I would have his interest :lmao:

I was there in April for a big Man U game. No cover charge and plenty of shirts.

Thanks for replies
I was thinking of "Best of British" as another option but given the recent Robinho steal right under Chelski's noses, think there will be a bit more spice to the fixture so will head to Cricketer's. Just off now to check my Life Insurance policy:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
