Cribs???

Can you request a full size crib for your room or do they only have the small packnplays? We are staying at WL in case that matters. Thanks.

I've stayed at POP, POFQ and SSR since DD2 was born and I could only get the pack and play cribs. I never asked for a full sized crib though, but I didn't think they were available. Now that she is a little older we like the bed rails and that works out just fine for us.

About 6 years ago I remember getting a metal crib at the Poly. Now with another little one it seems during our stats all we get is pack-n-plays. Though our stays now have only been at moderates and values.

Last August we requested and received a full size crib for our 3 month old grand daugther. We got a full size metal crib at OKW and BCV. We were told that you can not request it in advance. You have to call housekeeping after you are in your room. They did take up alot of space, but since we had a 2 bedroom, there was plenty of room. Since we were at a DVC resort for both requests, I'm not sure if this is a DVC perk or not.

We were able to request a full size crib at Boardwalk. After looking it over, we put it out in the hall and asked that someone come and pick it up. I was not comfortable letting our son sleep in it. The mattress was so soft and thin that I did not think it was safe to sleep on. We ended up using the pack-n-play that was in the room. We now travel with our own pack-n-play. I don't know if the one sent up for us was typical, or we just happened to get one that had seen better days. Good luck!
